Finally a buyer's market for BWV?

I count over 20 BWV resale offerings at the two major brokers. Many of these actually have banked points! I bet some of these could be picked up in the low 60s with full 2002 points.

This looks to be a significant softening in the BWV resale market from 6 to 8 months ago.

The current economy is going to have an effect on the resale market. I still believe we will start to see some recovery late in 2002, ----if there isn't another major negative event.

Tinker Bell, I agree.... I've been watching the BWV market for quite a while, and this is the best time to purchase a BWV resale... Not long ago they were running around 70/pt, now it's closer to 60... Also, I saw at least a couple of packages actually priced around 55.00/pt, so I don't think Disney is buying packages back at 58.00/pt...

There certainly are some very good resale deals out there right now. The sellers are very motivated and some contracts come with banked points.

It is worth looking at.

I think Dean was trying to buy a BWV resale at a very good price. Has anyone heard the outcome of that?

Contract and ernest money in for BW contract in the mid 200 points range for $54.50 per point plus closing bringing total to $56.50 per point. All of 2002 points available and a small portion of the 2001. There are also over a 100 reservations points but it is unclear if we will be getting those although I suspect we will. The question is whether DVC will let it go through, my bet is they will but others seem to think not. We shall see. If things don't work out, may do a 100-150 points add on.

I am in the process of purchasing a Boardwalk resale. We are getting all of 2001 and 2002 points at a great price. Patience really does pay off! If you have been holding off, now seems to be the time to buy!

I won't say anything until we're finalized. The broker did email me today that the buyer has a second contract he's decided to sell and the price is even less than the first. I'll probably take him up on his offer though it's low enough that I seriously suspect DVC will buy it back. I'll let you know what happens.

We just signed papers and sent in a deposit for 100 pts at BWV. For $60.00 per pt. plus closing cost of $375, so 63.75 per pt. We paid about that when we first bought in 1998. Picking up there 01 points to boot which we will bank.

I contacted The Timeshare Store and A Timeshare Broker.
Jacki from A Timeshare Broker called me this week with the offer. Someone is selling 250 pts and they split 150 for someone else and 100 for us.

That answers one of my questions; they're able to split a larger amount into smaller ones, right or is that only possible if there was an original contract and an add-on?

Also, was what you paid the asking price or an offer, if I can ask?
