I think that the point being made is that girls/women want men/boys like Edward and Jacob but want to be like Hermonie or Katniss. I don't think most would want to be like bella.
Take rhett and scarlett for instance. I love the devotion he has for her and the way he wants to take care of her but I also love her for her strength and independence.
See, that's what I disagree with. Sure, I guess some women do, given the amount of grown women who seem to devour those books. But to make sweeping statements that all women want a man like Edward or Jacob or that all women love sappy movies and hate action is ridiculous. And in many posts those generalizations are being made - several statements posted and quoted have no disclaimers saying "some" women.

Now, not so patiently waiting for Catching Fire, oh and a book I read, Divergent, I think its suppose to be made into a movie also.
