Final season of ER - Dr Ross to make a guest appearance!!

Jenna join me here next thursday and we can cry together!:grouphug:

ok so I watched tonights episode and made it all the way till the end and no tears.....UNTIL..... they showed next weeks preview :sad1:

i'm thinking next week I will be crying like a baby, i've never been so sad to see a show go~ :sad2:

I thought last nights episode was awful! As though they were just killing time. We wanted to see the characters we have grown to love!

I agree next week will be a tearjerker. I was very sad when St Elsewhere ended too.

I didn't think it was that great of an episode either, but as an EW writer wrote about Grissom leaving CSI, its hard to enjoy it when you know the end is coming.

I will have the tissues ready for next week. Probably need to make sure it is a new box.

I love seeing old cast members and there storylines intertwine with the show as it is today, but I was glad that they are wrapping things up with the "newer" cast as well, Archie falling in love and getting married soon, Banfield getting the baby they long for, Sam & Gates healing there relationship and showing Neela happy in her new place with Ray~:grouphug:

So next week will be saved for all the "old" cast and how it all comes to an end and ties up, so why it wasnt a "hang on the edge of your seat cause George Clooney was coming on" type of show" I thought it served a good purpose~ :goodvibes

BTW my son just informed me on the way to school that we ae out of tissues, so I'm off to buy a big old box so I'm ready for next weeks show! :sad1:

You reminded me of a thought I had last night. After all these years of no one being allowed to be happy for too long, it seems like they are, for the most part, leaving everyone happy!

ER comes on at 8:00 EST next week. I wonder if it is a 2 or 3 hour show?

What is the name of the actor who plays "Archie"? He is really good! The James Brown number was great. I hope we get to see him in another show soon.

According to my direct TV guide, the first 2 hours are a "retrospective" with clips and interviews. The final episode starts at the usual time, 9pm in my neck of the woods (central time).

I for one loved last night's show. It is nice to see them tying up "loose ends" and making them happy endings too. (though I am worried about Brenner and what will happen to the mom) I loved hearing Archie and Gates singing, Archie is pretty good and we know that Gates (Stamos) has talent in real life.

Next week will have a 1 hour show about the show and then a two hour finale. (this is according to their website)

The NBC press release shows the series retrospective to be one hour (8PM-9PM Eastern).
The finale is two hours (9PM-11PM Eastern).

I stand corrected. My guide must be in error, but all that matters is the DVR is set to record all 3 hours! :goodvibes

Thanks for the info about the timing.

Now I need to arrange dinner and make sure the kids are ready for bed and have no need for any major involvement from me before 8:00!!;)

I quit watching along about 2003 to 2004, so I missed the whole Neela/Ray thing.

Last I remember, Neela was still grieving over Gallant.

And I just started watching again the last couple of months, because I was intereseted in the old-timers coming back for the finale.

Could someone please explain who Ray was, and how did he lose his legs, and where did he end up?

Thanks!

Okay I fell asleep right after Angela Bassett was speaking her husband about the mother of the baby returning. What happened with the mother and the baby? Did she take him or will Angela and her husband be allowed to keep it?

Here's way more than you would ever want to know about him.

Tony and Ray had a fight over Neela at Abby & Luka's wedding reception. I believe Luka told Ray to leave. He was wandering the streets all night and got hit by a bus.

Am I remembering this correctly?

I thought last night was better than last week .. at one point, the episode with Benton/Ross/Hathaway was to be the finale and then more shows were ordered. That would make a little sense as to why these 2 shows have just sort of halfway blended in. Whatever happened with Sam's mother? They started that storyline and went nowhere with it.

Can't wait until next week. Looks like a lot of the former cast will be back!

I believe they worked out an open adoption.

I was switching back and forth between basketball and ER last night. LOLOL.
