I had thought that the people on these boards were nice until I read this thread making fun of people. How horrible to make fun of people that may not be as fortunate in their financial situation as you are. My husband was in the military, and no, we don't have a lot of money. I would never cheat Disney, but I don't think trying to budget and save on discounts that DISNEY puts out is bad. We are responsible citizens that pay our bills, and don't charge our vacations and then go bankrupt like some people that I know of. Sorry that we don't have enough money to be accepted on these boards by some of you.

I think they are just joking. They are just being sarcastic that's all. I only read a few post. I don't have any comment to this thread, but I saw your post, so I thought I'd respond. They are just trying to be funny I guess. I don't think they mean to hurt or be mean to anyone here...they are just trying to be funny... JMHO.

Of course we're joking. I get pretty miffed watching parents get onto their kids because they aren't having as much fun as their parents expect (after getting them up at the crack of dawn and pushing them to get their money's worth). Income level has nothing to do with that as I've seen folks who appear affluent do it.

As DVC members, we prefer to get our money's worth by booking a studio, then picking the lock on the connecting lock-off door--wow! Now we have access to a 2 bedroom!!!!! We leave lots of stuff around, so if anyone checks into the other side, they immediately close the door and go back to check-in and tell them they need to be assigned to another room--the one they were assigned is already occupied and there must have been a mistake. The clueless CM's never bother to check because they don't care about any guest problems--they just assign a new HA smoking room to the hapless guests.

I have hidden it in the bushes out back of the WL and feel free to dig around in the bushes etc to find it. Just put it back for the next guy/gal once you are done. The title of the thread is 5th person, pool hopping, refillable mug- or something like that. These + rolling backpacks, public nursing etc are hot button topics on this board and always cause people to get into such an uproar. That's what is funny about the thread. No one was trying to be mean or make fun of people that have less money. I'm a single mom with 2 special needs kids and make under $10,000 a year so I'm far from wealthy. Sometimes we need a good laugh. I guess we can't make everyone laugh.

As far as the money thing, I didn't see that anyone was making fun of anyone else for being budget-conscious.

I thought the point of the thread was to poke fun at people who break the rules . Last time I checked, not only were there no rules against nursing a child in public! It makes me sad to see people equate the nourishment of a child with dishonesty like not paying for everyone in your room, or not paying admission for a child that is 3.

Exactly! It's sad to even compare nursing in public to any of the other things mentioned here on this thread
