fifth person in refillable pool mug-hopping

Not trying to stir the pot, just trying to clarify that those who take offense to references to NIP on a thread about WDW pet peeves aren't necessarily overly-serious, humorless ninnies. For us (and forgive me moms and dads for speaking for us) it's a sort of "you just don't go there" thing

Unfortunately, moms and dads vacationing at WDW, it has gone there...many, many times on the Dis...and thus, becomes a "hot button" topic.

And then will get thrown into the pot (you don't want to stir) and lumped into a list of things that people debate about and get "hot" about on the Dis.

I may not laugh at NIP, but may I laugh at everyone arguing about them on a WDW message board? *The latter scenario being my intent and I think the OPs and most of the other posters as well*

I think the intent of this thread has been misinterpreted by some moms and dads who speak on behalf of their kind.

Public breast feeding in WDW = hot button topic on the Dis. Plain and simple fact.

Maybe an espresso?

Maybe an espresso?[/QUOTE]

Double. :)

I think I just haven't been around long enough to see this topic come and go. It's actually the first time I've seen it, period. Give me time. I'm sure I'll be laughing when I see this topic go 'round the fifteenth time.

In general though I think that it is best if I personally avoid the pet-peeve threads. It just gets my mind on the negatives. Who wants to dwell on those? I'd rather be thinking about eating one of these: :mickeybar

:rotfl:

Don't you know there is a special place about codes/discounts so that we don't sully other topic areas with neverending discussion about codes :rotfl:

but I'm going nuts trying to figure out what NIP is!

I totally "get" this thread...I've been reading long enough to have seen each of these topics debated many times on these boards. Then I saw the title "fifth person in refillable pool mug-hopping" and thought What the heck...here we go again ;) But this is hilarious! Just what I needed today. It isn't so much about "pet peeves" as it is about the topics that really set people off on these boards, at least that's what I think it is. I wish it wouldn't have turned in to the NIP (that makes me snicker...& I'm too old to snicker about that! And I did nurse my kids & even had to do it in public, covered of course.) debate. Let's get back to the funny stuff :Pinkbounc

LOL! NIP = nursing in public :) it's ok. it took me a little while to figure it out too. gotta love the acronyms.

i posted earlier defending NIP, but only b/c i thought that this thread was for jokes and I thought that someone was really bashing NIP... Up til then I thought this thread was hilarious. sorry it got to the 'debate' point. But I hope this thread gets on the right path again. It made me bust a gut before :p

While I'm waiting for replies to my questions about being a non-Florida resident getting a resident pass and being a non-Passholder trying to get the AP rate w/o the AP for a suite at the Grand Floridian, I was also wondering about the best time of year to pull my kids out school--me and hubby think right around mid-term finals for our high schooler and middle schoolers would probably be the best time. For this trip, we are only going to WDW, not that other park, so this trip is going to be very educational. Also, I was wondering about using the kids clubs at WDW for our younger kids.

I'm not comfortable leaving my children with complete strangers, and wonder about the type of parents who would go on a family vacation and then leave their children with strangers. I mean honestly, can't you wait and go to a fancy restaurant at home?! By jiminy, we keep our kids attached to us 24/7.

Anyways, I would be comfortable having Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy or Goofy watching my children (If Disney would throw in a Princess or two, so much better, as my own little princess just loves the princesses). So, I was wondering would it be possible to reserve the Neverland Club--I hear it is the best--just for my kids only, but only after all the surfaces have been completly doused with Lysol, and I am given the opportunity to use my handy dandy disinfectant wipes to personally ensure all door knobs, toys, and anything else my children might possibly come in contact are CLEAN, and have the characters watch them. If me and hubby are having a really good time at dinner, then we would be okay with having the characters escort our children back to the motel (oops resort) and tucking them into bed, while we head over to PI. Since we are only doing this to celebrate our anniversary, I'm sure this will be done for no charge.

Has anyone ever done this, and would also let me know if you agree that pulling kids out of school during finals for a trip to WDW is a good thing to do? :goodvibes

How about the parents the let their seven-year-old play totally naked in the splash zone at Epcot or on Donald's boat in Toon town. And let's not forget how much you can save on tissues letting your runny nose youngster just use the fuzzy characters like Pooh and friends. :love1: Oh, and how about making sure each of your eight children and friends not only get a group character photo but individual photos too (be sure to take two pictures each to make sure at least one comes out). After all, Mickey is only going to be here for three more minutes. :hourglass I take it that everyone does know that the bench in the parlor outside the restrooms in the Crystal Palace is for diaper changing (not those silly fold out tables located in the restrooms themselves). pirate: And yes, my kids like to look at the butt of your kid sitting on your shoulders while you stand in the front at the castle shows. :sad2:

Well said...

Just because some people don't find it funny or get the "joke" doesn't mean the rest of us have to walk on eggshells to please them. If you don't find it funny....oh well....if you do...laugh... I love the dancing banana, hope it doesn't offend anyone :rolleyes1

Nursing in public. By the way I think this thread is hilarious! :rotfl:

Oh my god...when I first saw it (the word NIP), I was thinking it was short for something...not an acronym. That's why I referred to 'NIP' as them in my earlier post.

As in showing "NIP"...but I now know it's N.I.P. ;)

I'm a guy...what do you expect?

Had to comment on the breast feeding issue.......
It is always interesting to see what males take offense to this (my hubby included), but appreciate the barely there swimsuit, covering the models surgery enhanced body, and say WOW!!! :sad2:

That is because we males are pigs :confused3

We prefer the entertainment value of said items and not the function value.
