I am sure this has been covered before but looking back through some of the older posts there are certain things that I didn't find an answer to. We have never had to take a baby before to DW so this will be a whole new experience. We will be bringour own stroller and know where to find the baby care stations but have a few questions regarding the rides and attracions. When we go our daughter will be 8mo.

Will she be able to ride on Peter pan - I remember this one sort of "floats" so wasn't sure if this was one that babies have to skip.

Will she be able to go on the Safari at Animal Kingdom. I remember that this was rough and bumpy and they don't reccomend this for pregnant women , but what is the age requirement ?

Anyone know anything about Water Mice rentals ? Will she be able to ride in a boat with my husband ? We have this planned as an afternoon activity but now I am not sure if she will be able to be included and if we need to plan an afternoon back at the resort.

Any other tips for going with a baby ? Thanks !!

I have taken both of my children to the World at least twice in their infant years.
Peter Pan: Yes you can hold her in your lap
Also lap ride is , Pooh, Small World, Snow WHite, buzz, Pirates (hold tight on the small hill), Wedway, Haunted Mansion, my kids sat on Carrousel, with me holding them, Jungle Cruise.
that is all I can think of at MK.
Yes, my ds did the Safari ride, you need to hold on TIGHT. Really I can not think of any rides at AK, (besides the shows and Safari) that she can ride??

Do not take her on the water sprites, that scares me to death to think of that!!!!!!!
If your husband flipped, I can not think of a life jacket that could hold her well by herself at that age.
I loved taking my children at that age, they were great about sleeping in the strollers. You can change their diapers in any bathroom,I don't think we ever went to a baby care station.
Have Fun!

We just returned from my first trip to WDW, with our 4.5 yr. dd and 5 mo. dd. They both had a great time and it was actually much easier than I expected! I second what the other poster said...all those rides should be fine for a young baby. On the AK safari we had her in a front carrier, so she was strapped to us. If not, you would have to hold on tight! :flower: Our daughter LOVED the shows like Mickey's Philharmagic and Festival of the Lion King, even at 5 months! We formula feed, so took a large thermos of hot water and several bottles with the dry mix inside. This seemed to work very well. Another life-saver was the emergency ponchos I had picked up at Walmart before the trip. One day it rained pretty good and I was able to cover our stroller w/ the poncho to keep baby dry. Hope you have a great time!

We took our twins to WDW when they were 7 mos. old. I highly recommend putting your baby in a baby bjorn carrier, or something similar, for the rides. You won't be able to take your stroller in line with you, so the carrier comes in handy for standing in line and also keeps the baby "securely fastened" to you during the rides.

We went on all rides that didn't have a height requirement. You can just hold your baby in your lap/front carrier for all rides. You should be able to go on most, if not all, rides in Fantasyland in MK, Pirates, Haunted House, 3D shows, etc.

At that age, we liked to plan some nice sit-down meals when our twins were napping/sleeping in the stroller. Restaurants did not mind one bit if we brought our stroller to our table.

The baby care centers were great!! Nice changing tables and anything you could need for your baby.

Don't forget to cover your baby in sunscreen and take lots of pictures! We had a fabulous time taking our twins at that age, such precious memories. Enjoy!
