Few thoughts about Frozen Ever After

Well, we had a 6:15-7:15 FP and it was down when we arrived around 6:40 and remained down the other 3 times we checked until close. Have no idea why someone has to battle someone sharing their experience
I'm not battling, I'm just sharing that I was on the ride at that time. Sorry about that :( I'm really sorry to hear it was down. Were you able to get on? Weather was wild last night, really unfortunate.

Just trying to share my experience guys, sorry to have stepped on some toes. :/ Hoping you have a great time on your vacation!

FWIW, I didn't see a battle here, either, and was encouraged to hear about your good experience. Hoping some of that pixie dust finds its way to us during our trip next week! :)

I did not see it either. The faceless, nameless, ageless internet strikes again! Without seeing a person face to face, miscommunication happens all the time. Glad you had a good time!

ETA: Storm or not, at least you were there; wish I was!

So we were not able to get FP+ for this ride as they were long gone when our 30 day window opened up. I was planning to do the rope drop shuffle, but that would mean extra time waiting in the morning anyway.

Is it possible that it could be worse in the morning from all the rope drop runners? Should we just try it in the afternoon? Thoughts anyone?

I am trying to figure out a strategy also. I haven't chosen my fps yet so I don't know if they will be available or not. I'm just not sure I want to do 2 days at Epcot. First of all I was going to get an afternoon fp for FEA if possible then the next morning get a Soarin fp and then hop to another park. However that will make it impossible to get and fps for other parks on those days. So then i thought to fp FEA and standby Soarin. Then we don't lose a day of fps at another park. I've been watching the lines app but it's hard because it shows FEA down so much. For instance, when I checked at 9:30 this morning it said FEA offline but Soarin has a 19 minute wait. When I next checked, FEA was up (around 10:45) but had a 75 minute wait. Soarin was up to 35 minutes. Then I checked after lunch and FEA was 49 minutes and Soarin was 38 minutes. I just now Che led and it shows its down again. Hard to judge.

I don't know what to tell you. We have an 8 am Akershus but that's no guarantee. We had an 8 am BOG in May and 7DMT was down all morning, so any effort to eat a PPO breakfast and get on the ride was wasted. I would keep trying to get the fps. They do pop up from time to time and if the ride is down at the time of your fp, you'll convert to anytime.

A good friend of mine was actually in the park on the same day as myself, doing RD to Frozen and she said she waited about 90 minutes. She was a little late, though. So there's definitely hope! :)

So we went early on July 29th for the 9am open. We did all the right things and ended up with maybe 50 - 70 people or so in front of us in line (mostly due to the early entry breakfast crowd). Unfortunately, even first thing in the morning the ride started out broken, but they had it going with only a 10 minute delay. We were off the ride and doing the Elsa/Anna meet and greet next door by 9:30, which had nearly no line.

I must say, the ride was much more impressive than I expected. I would have been disappointed to miss it. I never went on the original, so I didn't know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised.

Great to hear! I'm actually going in September sans fastpass and hoping to get lucky and ride FEA quickly at rope drop :) sounds like you had a fun trip!
