Fell off the ride?

I have a random question.....

Has anyone ever seen someone fall off one of the boat rides at WDW or DL?
I always think of this whenever Im on one of them, considering all the people that go through those parks every year, its got to have happened at some point.

If so, what happened?

In all my trips to Disney World (over 50), I have never seen anyone fall off a boat ride. Not even the transportation boats. Unless someone isn't following the rules (like standing up on the ride), it really shouldn't happen.

I remember a few years ago that some little kid fell off the Big Thunder Mountain in Disneyland, and now that's why they say "and please watch your children" when getting a ride.

I manage to Fall IN a boat ride, the Mexican one in Dec. I went to step in, and fell on my left hip extending my right leg ALL the way UP in the AIR! It was not pleasant to say the least, and yes I was embarrased...

I went out with a guy last year who was a Disney nut like me. He told the story of the time his mom fell into the Jungle Cruise river while either getting into or out of the boat (I can't remember which). So it does happen!

An ex-coworker of mine JUMPED off Splash Mountain a few years ago. Going up the last hill before the big drop, he became convinced he wouldn't survive it, saw the steps over to the right, stood up and jumped over!!! The ride immediately stopped and someone came on a loudspeaker and told him not to move in a very stern voice. He was escorted out while his mortified wife and son had to wait on the ride for like 20 minutes for it to get started again.

OT, but same trip, he also had a piece of firework land in his eye during Illuminations. Needless to say, Disney is not a favorite destination of his!

A few months ago, I was watching the news and they showed this guy falling off teh parking tram as it was moving. Not really sure what park or what the guy was reaching for.

I can confirm that if you jump out of your ride vehicle at ANY Disney attraction, the ride will stop and you and your party will be escorted out. Additionally, you may face criminal charges and/or be held responsible for any damage done to sets, animatronics or show scenes.

What problem would that be? Stupid people? I don't mean to be disrespectful of anyone who is hurt or killed by jumping out of a moving ride, but I'm pretty sure everyone knows that is not a good idea!

I've heard about that before, but never quite understood it. Did he get stuck and dragged under a log and drown? I can't imagine anyone being killed, or even hurt, from being hit by a log. With the exception of being at the bottom of the hill on the drops, how could a log moving so slowly kill anyone?

I've never seen anyone fall out but I did see a lady jump out of the boat in Mexico as it was leaving the loading area. She apparently freaked out as it was leaving and she was screaming I hate boats and I hate water! She barely made it back onto the platform.

I 'think' he jumped out, slipped and fell, hitting his head. He ended up in the water, where the boat behind his boat hit him. At least that is my understanding.

A young kid fell out of Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin at DL a few years ago. He was flattened by the car. So tragic

I always FEEL like im going to fall of splash during the drop...but i think physics prevents that from happening. doesnt prevent me from being anxious though!

I concur that it is NOT a good idea to bail on a ride in motion but I was referring(sp?) to the website in his/her signature...that WEAREDISNEY website.
