Hi Lessa , Have been absent a few days !! I did here that for sure we will be doing Universal in September , possibly earlier in May !!

May 22nd continued

After we got the required photo with Chewy I made the boys wait in line with me to get a picture with Amidala. They didn't want in the picture, silly boys!

After that we were starting to get hungry so we decided to stop for an early lunch at Pizza Planet. They were not busy yet as it was only 11 in the morning. We grabbed a nice shaded table outside and chowed down.

Bellies full we made our way to the back of the park in search of some Jawa's. Unfortunately they were leaving as we were arriving. There was still lots of time before we had to go grab a spot for the Star Wars parade so Alek and Erich decided they would get their picture taken with some characters from the Star Wars cartoon, The Clone Wars.

It was getting pretty stinking hot by this point. I remember clearly how brutal it was standing in that line. At one point some Clone Troopers/Storm Troopers came out. They didn't have a formal line but they did have a photopass photographer. I sent Alek and Erich to get their picture while I held our place in the Clone Wars character line.

In line next to me was a mother with two young children. The little boy was running around with a light saber having a blast. I had been chatting with her and she stopped to call him back as he was running too far away. She called out "Anakin, get back here!". I said that was cute and asked if he was using the name because it was Star Wars Weekends, she replied, nope, that is his real name. Ummmm, awkward! She didn't seem mad or anything but I felt weird after that.

Thankfully we were up soon for our picture.

I believe the characters are called Asoka and Captain Rex???? I have never seen the animated show so I could be wrong.

After that it was time to go grab a spot for the parade.

Back in the Magic Kingdom Mom had spent an hour or two walking around soaking in the atmosphere of the park and taking pictures. She took a ride on Dumbo I believe, I think she was hoping to get a peak over the construction walls.

Eventually the heat and the loneliness of being in a park without us (hahaha) got the best of her and she decided to make her way out of the park.

Before leaving she stopped in to visit The Big Cheese and his Main Squeeze.

So, did Mom enjoy her taste of traveling WDW solo? We will see if she chims in to share her opinion!

That is super cool that you got to go into DHS early. Pixie dust for sure!!

I can't imagine those characters out in the hot sun with full costume (Vadar, Chewbacca) and helmets.

And you guys are real (pardon the pun) "troopers" to wait 40 minutes and over an hour for the characters.

yay for you being kind to the family and then getting more pixie dust and having the Ewok come back!

When we went to see Rapunzel, we had a different Flynn Rider. I miss not having Flynn there. We just went last month and it was not the same with just Rapunzel.

All caught up now! So glad I'm getting all this over with quickly, so much to catch up on *wipes sweat off forehead* LOL Well, I enjoyed catching up! I love hearing about the Star Wars Weekends too because I know that is around the time of my birthday so it's nice to know how it all works out there in case I decide to check it out (and if I go to Disney on my birthday). Lovin' all the Photopass you got too, especially with your little flashes of your mom in MK, she seemed to really enjoy it all by herself even though I presume she does meet up with you guys. Well, can't wait to read more!

That was a mistake. You must watch them in this order: Episodes 4,5,6 THEN 1,2,3. That is the only way to get a true appreciation of Star Wars.

I get being a fan but I would never name a kid Obi-Wan or Yoda or Amidala. At least "Twihards" who name their kids after the characters will have normal names like Isabella, Edward and Jacob.

Sorry for the lack of updates this week. To make up for it I have some news. Erich got accepted to the Disney Internship program offered as a partnership between his program, a Florida college and Disney. So he will be working at Disney for 6 months starting this summer! No idea where or doing what yet but I am excited for him and kinda jealous.
