feeding of the sharks

HI Everyone.

Not to long ago we were watching a show on the travel station and they said they feed the sharks two days a week. I was wondering if anyone new the days so we could plan to be there on that day!!

I know that they aren't fed everyday. Anyone know the time exactly?

I asked about this and was told that they do it irregularly so the sharks don't get "habituated" to being fed at a particular time. Who knew sharks had watches?

I just read on the one site about sea world, that the days for feeding the sharks is Tuesday and Thrusday. I hope this helps.

They may be on a cycled schedule (every three days etc.) so, call the park and see if they can give you more info...

They used to have a behind the scenes shark tour.
You could walk on top of the tank and see the sharks from above and how they fed them. Somehow seeing them from above with just their fins breaking the surface and with only a few feet of walkway between you and the edge was a little more intense than seeing them from the safety of the tunnel. Ditto on the irregularity of feedings.
They also showed how they lower divers into the tank and the net that separates them from the animals as they clean sections at a time. Pretty Cool.

My husband and I just got back from Sea World and saw the Shark Feeding. According to the people we spoke with - feedings are Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11 and 2. We had planned our day around the shark feeding being at 11am and were not disappointed. We took the 11:45 Predators Tour - but were not able to really get "behind the scenes) because MSNBC and a bunch of local news people were using their usual areas for stories because of all the recent shark attack reports. If it is a must see (and it was pretty cool) call ahead and ask to make sure that they haven' changed their times.
