Well with how many weeks it spans and how little it is....and the very random select dates it is....

Sure they don't have to do it, but they could also do things better if they wanted

Maybe, but for us, we enjoy that they do things like this and happy we lucked in this year.

I appreciate any and all things they try to do to say”thank you”, even if it is a small token.

Latest news is that they are shortening park hours and cancelling extended fireworks on July 4th. My guess is bookings this summer are soooffftttt and that may also be part of why they're adding some more perks like this.

News where? Tom Bricker's latest issue just posted about how there was an "unprecedented bonus showing" of the fireworks tag at Epcot and covered all the extended hours activities at MK.

The WDW Website is showing regular hours at MK July 3 and 4 Closing at 11pm. Extra Magic Hours for Deluxe and DVC guests July 3, to early morning 1am July 4. And while not showing on calendar, they are still saying special fireworks on the website. With happily ever after the rest of the week at 9:20

Earlier this week they announced that they would have the fireworks tag on July 3rd and July 4th, and that MK would be open until midnight on July 3rd and 1AM on July 4th.

As of today, they've removed the July 3rd fireworks tag, and shortened MK operating hours on July 3rd from midnight to 11PM (though with extra magic hours for deluxe/dvc guest), and on July 4th from 1AM to 11PM.

As I read through this in more detail, given the short time between the announcement and the rollback I suspect it is representative more of a lack of internal coordination, rather than a response to new bookings data or anything like that, so I may be reading too much into it.

MK still has July 3 and 4.

I used the 20% QSV discount this morning. I wish I could use it at any place that has mobile ordering like Geyser Point. Since it’s technically a TS, it wouldn’t allow me to use the promotion code there, I had to settle for roaring fork.

We are here! Went to Hollywood Studios to grab the free ice cream bar. Melted in about 60 seconds (literally) but nothing tastes as good as “free”! It is tucked away by the Joffrey’s, past the entrance to Tower of Terror.

AP's received a 20% dining discount at a nice selection of TS restaurants this year-it was posted in the "V.I. Passholder Days return in 2024" thread over on the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies thread. DVC is being offered a 1 time use 20% discount for a quick service meal.
I was looking at last year's merchandise discount for VI passholder days....it went from 20-30% during that time, but cannot find confirmation that it occurred this year. I thought I saw mention of it on the passholder thread, but maybe I am wrong about the merchandise discount.
