Feedback for our first day plan please?

Background...For our first full day (Monday the 15th) at DL we already have HP party tickets and the party starts at 6pm, so we'll be able to enter DL at 3pm. We also have a seating booked at Surf's Up at 7:30am, and we'll need a nap time in there for our almost 3 yr old DS if he is too have any chance of seeing the HP fireworks. That will leave about 3-4 hours for us before party time.

So instead of adding a day to our park tickets (about $122 for 3-4 hours = too much), our plan is to eat at Surf's Up (I figure we'll be done there around 9am or so) maybe look around PPH and GCH for a little bit, then over to DTD for some shopping. Probably head back to the hotel (HoJo) around 11 or so for nap time. Once we're all up and going, we'll change into our HP costumes, which are nothing crazy, DH and I are going as Ellie and Carl from Up, and our DS as Russell.

From there we head back to DTD for a late lunch (suggestions on where?), and then take the monorail into DL for the party.

Does this sound good? Am I missing anything?

This is our first trip to DL, so I'm not sure what to expect from DTD. I know at DW we could easily spend 3-4 hours in DTD, but I have a feeling it's a little different at DL.

It sounds good. With you leaving surf's up about 9 and wanting nap around 11, you'll have a couple hours to look around the hotels and DTD. This is plenty of time. My suggestion for a late lunch, since you're staying at HOJOs would be Mimi',. good food at decent prices. I'm guessing your DS sleeps a couple hours and you'll be able to leave your hotel room around 2 for lunch then party. Have a great time! My youngest DS was just three when we took him and it was very magical!
