Febuary 07 Discount Codes

Hi. I would definatley try to be there prior to the 15th. Nascar is that weekend (16th-18th), that is also President's weekend and that Tuesday is Mardi Gras. (We moved from Louisiana to North Carolina in June, and we went every year at Mardi Gras along with a ton of other Louisiana people)

me too waiting-thinking about 2/19-2/24.....if not we'll there in April;but i hate NY feb's

I keep seeing that people are subscribing - what are you subscribing to? I would also like to know if a discount comes up so if I should be doing something, can someone please tell me?

Thanks!
Helen

Been subscribing waiting for the discounts! We picked this time (Feb 2-11), because it says the crowds are low, but seem to see alot of people talking about hotels being sold out! Does anyone know if something is going on at this time. We were careful to avoid President's Week, Nascar & Mardi Gras, what else could there be??? :confused3 Anyway, this is our 4th trip in 4 years around this time, and crowds or not it's still the BEST PLACE ON EARTH! :wizard:

What dates are these?Im booked for Feb 11th - March 2nd!!!

Have I made a mistake!??

Thanks,
Lynn

Thanks for the heads up on subscribing to this thread. I have subscribed.

I am just curious (we have only been to Disney World one other time) when do discounts codes usually come out for this time of year (Feb 2007)?

I think "perceptions of crowds" varies per person. We went President's Week of 2005, The week before President's Week of 2006 and are going back on President's Week in 2007. I was "expecting" crowds in 2005 when we went and we spent lots of time planning. We never had a problem, sure there were lots of people but we still had a great time and did everything we wanted to do. In 2006, the week before President's Day, I really was not expecting crowds and was suprised to find as many people as we did in the parks. We did not do as much planning (because we did not think we needed to because of the projected crowd levels). We still had a great time. With the exception of the middle of that week (Wed and Thur.) I would say there was not a notable difference in the size of crowds.

Bottom Line, Prepare for crowds (You are at Disney World), spend time planning and enoy the Happiest Place on Earth.

Subscribing! We have tickets to Daytona 500, but need my Disney fix while I'm there - we're Canadian, so didn't realize it was a holiday weekend - wishing for specials!!!! :wizard:

Hey Minnie29

The dates are:
Nascar - weekend of 16th
Presidents Day - Monday - 19th
Mardi Gras - Tuesday 20th

Like others have posted here - you're at Disney prepare for crowds either way and a crowded day at Disney is better than any day alone!!

Anyway, we just moved to NC in June from Louisiana. We went every year at Mardi Gras, because our kids are off of school! I would estimate close to 20,000 people from Louisiana alone are there during Mardi Gras. The thing about 2007 is that Mardi Gras alone usually isn't a problem, but Mardi Gras is a fluctuating Holiday that is always the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday which is 40 days before Easter, thus it varies every year. This year, it just so happens to fall on the same week as President's week, which is already a High Crowd time, plus Nascar!

By the looks of it though, you will be there after the crowds too!

There must be some kind of convention or are doing some remodeling because we tried to book a 2 bedroom villa @ WL in back in July for Feb 3 - 10 and there were none avaliable which is unusual for those dates.

My DH works for Office Depot's Business Services Division. They are having their annual meeting there Jan 31-Feb 2. Every BSD employee in the entire country (all sales, management, execs) will be flying in for this. They are staying off property for the meeting (Marriott World Center), but I wonder if many are doing what we are doing...which is meeting DH there and staying on property for a great family vacation. This could be where some of the availiability went. It is a huge amount of people. Just thought I'd let you all know.

We are staying at Poly Feb 1-7...our 1st trip to WDW!! We are very excited.

I posted this a few pages ago...but we couldn't get into Coronado Feb 4-12 because it was full, so we are staying at POR. I am thinking all my planning and finagling to go at a low attendance time may be all for not :confused3

We booked last November for 1st week Feb 2006. After all our planning I was thinking the same thing! Our first choice was all booked and we were limited as to where else we could stay. I thought WOW! it's full! the crowds will be huge! But they weren't. The resorts may be full but the parks can hold the people from the resorts and then some before the crowds seem to add up. We stayed away from the EMH and were able to walk on rides with little to no wait.

PHEW!! That's good to hear!!

Although...even a crowded day at Disney in February is better than being stuck at home in a blizzard! :teeth:
