Oh, Cinmell! You gave away one of my best secrets! It's great for those of us who lurk about, but don't post much. I hope to pull off a great big empty box with a Magic Kingdom map in it on Christmas morning! We went last year in late January after left us Golden Ears under the tree and the weather and crowds were beautiful! Here's hoping for a repeat!

One of the teenage girls I work with at church is going to be in a twirl competition that weekend, so it is possible that there may be a lot of teams there then.

We are booked 2/3/07 - 02/10/07 @ Beach Club Villas. We are not DVC members and are paying as regular resort guests. Does anyone know if discounts apply to the villas?

This is for the busy question for Feb 13th-16th-

That week should not be too bad- however president's weekend is that weekend(16th-19th) if I am not mistaken, and a lot of schools up north have a break. Mardi Gras is the 20th and a lot of people from New Orleans head to Disney the weekend before since schools are closed at that time. Also Daytona is also around that time-I am not sure exactly when, adding to the crowds. With all of that in mind you should be leaving right as the mad rush is coming!!

I wonder if there will even be codes for that busy time! Here's where we have to think happy thoughts so that wish can come true

Anybody have any idea how much the Super Bowl will affect crowd attendence? My family is going from Feb 1-8. Sunday Feb 4 is Super Bowl in Miami. I have actually planned to go with my husband to Universal that day. Neither one of us are into football. My dad is, so he and my mom are going to stay at the resort with my DD. My theory is that the rowdy crowd that true Dis fans hate about Universal will not be there that day, because they will be watching Super Bowl coverage. What do you all think?

We were there for Super Bowl Sunday 2 years ago and it was not crowded at all. Some of the guys went back to the VWL, where we were staying, to watch the game while everyone else stayed in the park. The only problem we had was keeping them quiet when we got back to the room so the kids could fall asleep, since the game was still on!!!

We too are heading down 2/3-2/10/07 went ahead and booked CBR w/dining package with AAA discount but we have a great TA and she is checking every week for a lower rate than what she got us. I'll let you know if i hear from her.

Hey, I was lurking on this thread and just saw your Big Box present idea. I'm looking for a way to surprise my two oldest . We were planning on going Dec 2007 but have changed it to this Xmas and I want to surprise them.

We are going 12/17-12/27 ! 10 days of Disney Magic.

I think I'll wrap a couple of boxes and give one to each DD. With maps of the parks. Thanks for the idea !!!

Do you know where all the twirlers (is that a word ) will be staying?? Is it a large group?? I'm suprised they'd bring a large group in around Presidents weekend, I've heard it's crazy busy then.
