Is early February a good time to go to Disney? How are the parks crowd-wise? I have been in May (hot :sunny) and many times in October (love it  ) How is the weather? I am debating buying an AP and am looking for different times to go! :cheer2:

We went in Feb. 2002 ... the 5th through the 12th. The weather was "cooler" but it seemed nice to us because we are from Northern Illinois. Some days we wore pants w/ short sleeve shirts ... other days we wore shorts with jackets. The parks weren't crowded and most rides did not have a long wait. It was more crowded on the weekends but still not back.

Suggestion ... check if Lent starts in February. Our most crowded days were on Monday and Tuesday ... Tuesday was Mardi Gras.

We liked it so much we considered going there on our next trip. However, I have always wanted to see WDW at Christmas so we are going in early December this year.

As long as you stay away during Mardi Gras and President's week - those can be crowded.

We went Feb 03 and Feb 05, DS' Winter Break from school; Feb 03 was somewhat warmer than Feb 05; quite breezy and definitely long pants weather; we layered with a sweatshirt and t-shirt but I never took the sweatshirt off, I'm pretty cold-natured; but we are from Texas mind you and we're used to mild winters; the crowds were great; like my DH always says, there are always crowds at WDW, but the difference in Feb is they are manageable crowds; watch out for President's Day week though; we have always gone before then; I've heard it gets quite crowded that week; good rates on hotels around early Feb too; there is a pretty substantial rumor that Feb 06 will be the last Winter Break for our school district; we are quite disappointed because we enjoyed our vacations around that time

And as for the February weather, it is completely unpredictable. You could have days in the 80s with cool mornings, or you could have mornings near freezing with daytime highs struggling to get out of the 40s. And both of those situations could happen in the same week! Pack everything you own!

It is unpredictable, but we were there February of this year 2/1-9 and the weather was lovely, although not warm enough for swimming, IMHO. Plenty of folks were using the pools, though. I liked the weather because it was very comfortable for touring the parks and shopping. Highs were low-70's. Not a lot of sun, although it did not rain. No crowds except for the Monday after the SuperBowl because it was in Jacksonville this year.
