February trip thread!

What will the weather be like in Feb? We'll be there early Feb and now we're wondering if we should postpone our trip. We don't mind wearing jackets, but we don't want to wear WINTER coats, gloves, etc.

oh heavens no, its california of course its not gonna be too cold. its rather unpredictable with weather but AVERAGES in fan/feb are around the 60s. you may need a sweater, not jacket. definetely NO winter gloves and coats. the only thing is jan/feb tend to be high times for rain however that can also be good as it shews people out of the park. at night you may need a heavier sweater, it can drop to 40s/50s area. take a look at hydroguys weather chart :Dhttp://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=23004158

I wish I had time to think of DL right now, but it looks like Christmas threw up all over my house. Between parties, concerts, birthdays, and shopping....I haven't baked a single thing, wrapped a single present and there isn't a decoration up in my house.....the outside looks like National Lampoons Christmas though.....I do believe we are visible from space this year:lmao:. DH decorated the front AND the back yard. And now I have boxes of Christmas decorations all over the place....AAAHHHHHH!:sad2:
I CAN'T WAIT FOR FEBRUARY:banana:

Thanks...I feel better now:flower3:

Budget trip with my hyena gal pals :woohoo:

Feb 2-7

We are all coming on different days.
I start it off on February 2nd, next to arrive on the 3rd, and then the 4th it will be the three of us together at Best Western Pavilions thru the 7th.
We have a few stragglers arriving/ departing as part of a family group or as day visitors. Potentially six (seven if our lone male is available) all together for at least one of the days. :yay:

We try to meet up at least once a year. But it depends on budget, pregnancy, health issues, moving, school.. life in general... that makes plans go awry. The times when a group of us can be all together at our happy place makes the trip even more special. :goodvibes

This year it's budget trip style.. using air miles, cheap hotel, one day with a free ticket thanks to Give a Day Get a Disney Day promo. I've threatened to pack oatmeal packets and ramen noodles for all of us. :lmao:

For me it's a very nice break from the cold and gray world of my MN winter. :cold: I wish I could go RIGHT NOW!

get excited and somewhat scared :( doing solo hey any one wanna do a mini meet between the 5-8 any takers?? lol 2 more months till my bday!!!!! wohoo!!

Don't be scared. Going solo is fun!
I'm going a day earlier than my gal pals just so I can have a day by myself! :)
Come say HI on the hyena thread (Disneyland Community board, titled "Unofficial Chatterbox"), adding more to the crowd is always a good thing. :goodvibes

We go every Feb and the last 2 have been windy and cool most of the day, jackets and Jeans are a must. Later in the evening for the parades people were wearing Hats, gloves ans blankets as it was chilly. We weren't even able to swim in the pools:mad: With all the walking we did our bodies stayed warm and still had a good time!

I hope the Indy is open that is Matthew's Fav ride!

Just decided to take DS2 back to DLR with friends 2/20-24!! We're saving $$ by sharing a room (3 adults and 2 kids in a mini-suite at BWPPI), but we figure we won't be in the room that much! DH can't join us, unfortunately. That's the only sad part of all of this...but I'm so excited, and DS' eyes got so big when I told him he was going back, it was precious! He ran to the door and said "Minnie! Mickey Mouse! Goofy! Yes! Let's do it! Let's go now!" :rotfl: Maybe I should have waited to tell him until it was a bit closer to the trip.

This just totally cracks me up! I can picture some little guy doing this!!

I have managed to keep ours a surprise still...only a few more days to go until they get to open their CA trip! My oldest daughter is convinced that we're going to a hotel here in MN. HA hotel schmotel!...she will flip when she finds out that we're going to Disneyland.

He was 14m last trip, and he'll be 2yr2m this trip. It'll be very different - last time he wasn't walking independently, and now he's running all over the place! And he had several words and signs last trip, but now he's a little chatterbox and seems like he's always talking in ALL CAPS and exclamation points!!! Everything is exciting and a big announcement with him, so I'm guessing there's going to be a lot of entertaining moments with him this time around.

Last time he just soaked it all in and wanted to cuddle up to his favorite characters, which was adorable. I'm hoping he still likes the rides and characters, but I'm also trying to be mentally ready if he's a little more spooked by everything. I know kids go through different phases with new experiences, so we'll see. He loves watching all the Disneyland travel shows, and we look at the photos and videos from the last trip almost every day. We've also been looking at the videos of the rides on YouTube to remind him of what it's like.

hi all quick update...they have added materhorn bobsleds to the list of refurbs in february on disneys site. not a HUGE deal for me, but would of been nice as i do infact like them lol but i would rather have that then something i realllly like. what im hoping for is that because rivers is down and we are missing so much because of it, is that they decide to not shut much more down so we can still have some fun lol

its gettin close all! for some of us, a month away and some more like 2 months but gosh how the time has gone! cant wait to hug mickey and let my lil boy meet the world of Disney for the first time!

We are going Feb 8-10 for my 2 yr old DS's first time! I am beyond excited! We are staying at Embassy Suites South and I cannot wait!!!!!
