Yeah we changed to PPH (so excited)!! The dates are different: we wil stay just off property on the 7th and check in to PPH on the 8th but we will still have 6 days in the park!!

They wanted almost another $350 to add one more night a PPH!! Redonculous!!!!

Just had to share this bit of info....

I was trying to think of a ways to surprise the girls for our Feb. trip. As I've mentioned I'm giving the trip to CA to them for Christmas. I thought of doing a treasure hunt of sorts...with smaller gifts (clues) for them to open first before leading up to the "big" gift. Last night I was at Target and in their $1 bins they had all kinds of Mickey, Princess and Cars stuf...ie...stickers, pens, markers, dry erase boards...(stuff the girls could use on a plane trip!). So I bought up a bunch of it.

I still don't think the girls have a clue but my oldest asked me the other day if we were taking them to WDW for Christmas?!?!?! And I was like "no way...you're way off!"

That's a great idea, we always do a treasure hunt for their Easter booty!! That will be a great way to surprise them!

Sounds like your oldest is quite intuitive! I get so excited I don't think I could ever surprise my DD7 with a Disney trip!

The other thing we always do when we go on a Disney trip is to make a big countdown calendar. I'll usually buy a big poster board and some disney stickers, and scrapbooking sheets, and then we have fun making it together, hang it in a prominent place in the house and count the days until we leave!!!!!

This is exactly how we're going to surprise our kids on Christmas (7 and 4). I'm going to make the calendar and put it, a mickey & minnie stuffed toy, etc, into a big wrapped box. My son now reads well enough that he'll be able to read it to the 4 year old.

I cannot wait until Christmas!

My girls and I are joing my DBF for her 40th birthday. She is bringing along for their first visits her mom and dad, sister and niece who is 5. We figure the bigge girls can help the little one on rides. She is a shy only child. My DBF and I are ride nazis with HydroGuy and FP info we do about 22 rides a day including a few hour rest break so we are going early with her to get some of the big rides out of our system before the rest of family joins us.

We'll be at VGC from 2/14 to 2/21 (Sunday to Sunday). Any kids with you? I'll be with DH, DS (12) and DS (9), then my DSis will be there with her DH, DD (10) and DS (5). The first three days, we'll be in a Grand Villa with my cousin and his family for a family reunion (42 years in the making - my DSis and I went to DL with them for the first time in 1968). Then 8 of us will move to a 2-bedroom for the rest of the week.

Maybe we'll see you there!

I guess we'll see you at the pool? Or is it too cold to swim in Feb. Who cares! They're going to go the pool anyway and turn blue.

Updating our dates. We'll be there from Jan 29-Feb 2. Not sure where we'll stay. I like staying at the close walking hotels (non Disney). I still need to look into that.

I hope that Indy isn't closed down during our trip. That would just be awful!!!!

Well I have had our ressies since Sept but have since changed that.We went from $3200 in a standard view for 8 nights at the DLH with 6day ph to 2 nights upper resort view then switch to standard for 6 nights with 6day ph for $1800.
Yesterday I finally lucked into a seat sale our trip to Cali.....but not back. Price was right but the times were horrible. I just need to be patient and keep checking......6 times a day
So my budget is looking better all the time. Flights for 3 of us from Canada ,8 nights at the DLH and 6 day PH for .....$2700
I keep telling myself that is a good deal

Oh yeah...we'll be in the pool too!

Well we decided this weekend that the kids and I are going to join dh in CA for part of his orchestra tour! The only day his group is going to be at DL is Saturday 2/20, but I want to do extra days with the kids (2yo and 5yo). It will just be me alone with the kiddos, though!

I SO wish I could justify staying 5 nights to take advantage of the 2 free deal, but I just don't know if I can handle them both alone for that long of a visit to DL. Right now I'm thinking that we'll be in the park 11/18-11/20. I'm thinking we'll check in 11/17 and out on 11/21. Any thoughts on what would be the best deal for us to take advantage of?

HI! im going to add you and ASSUME you are staying 2/17-2/21 rather than november. guessing you put that cause we are in november right now! lol??? i think hojo is out of your dates for the ET rate but i would check because is can NOT be beat! other than that i really wouldnt have much advise and would say to wait for some advice for others who have stayed at more places. its been 10 years since ive been there so im not of much help anymore haha. lots of things, AND places have changed!
