Thank all of you for the puppy wishes Some people think I'm nuts for being so crazy about my dog, but dog people understand that they're a part of your family

I've got the boarding outfits packed (well, all except mine of course). The guys will be wearing khaki shorts and short sleeved golf shirts (the boys have a red and a blue and DH has a blue one with white stripes). I still have no clue what I'm wearing. Maybe I'll just wear my bathing suit so can just hop right in the pool DH is convinced we need to be dressed semi-nice for boarding. Me? My philosophy is s@#%w it... I'm on vacation We were raised VERY differently, haha

Well, I'm just passing time while I wait to take Princess. I think I'll go down and visit the ab-lounge til it's time to go... Oh, and I will surely do my part to get us to the great 100!!! Be back later!!!

i am waiting for the BFF to give me her cabin number and i will post it, you all are FAB! she has NO idea i am doing this for her, i got her a FE from EBAY when i ordered mine from TIFFANY and i just got it, it is SO cute!! YAY!

I love Tiffany!!! I messed up my FE and asked her for a spare scrap of the fabric she used on ours so I could cover up the iron-on disaster that I made. I asked her to send me another paypal bill to cover shipping/handling and the fabric and she didn't send one. I figured maybe she couldn't find the fabric or whatever... Well, checked my mail today and she sent me two pieces and a note saying she couldn't wait to see a picture when it was done! Such a sweetheart and she pumps those things out QUICK!!! Wish I had that talent-- I'd start a cruise fund, lol

you know what? that is how great she is! she messed up on a posting on EBAY where i got mine saying it was a 4 pocket when it was a 3, and she wouldnt accept the extra $$ for it since she make the mistake, TOTAL PRO and honest to the end, i LOVE that! HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone getting a custom FE from Tiffany!

BFF (colleen) her BF (lance) and DD8 (alexa) are staying right across from us, her cabin is 6569 so i am surprising her with her very own FE~! i know i didnt put her in cuz i didnt think NICE FRIEND I AM but i dont want DD8 to miss out even though i brought her something special!

Can you explain the kids work and school paid thingy? Sounds like an interesting compromise.

in our district, if you're out of school for 4 or less days it's considered an unexcused absence. School's don't like this because their funding is based on # students and #days in school. that's one of the reasons you have to call in for sick days - because those are excused and the schools still get paid. they don't like unexcused absences because they don't get funded. However if you take 5+ days off, the school sets you up on a "contract" whereby you agree to do all the work and turn it in the day you return. A contract makes the absence excused, and in return the school gets funding. It's always been a troubling thought amongst parents. You'd think the fewer # days your kid missed school the better. we get scathing letters from the district for unexcused absences. But if you're on a contract, everyone's happy and the school gets funding for those days.

Oh, I know!!! When you bought yours, did it go through eBay or just through paypal? Mine just went through paypal and now I can't leave her feedback!!! The one time I REALLY want to leave someone over-the-top feedback, and I can't!!! You'll have to leave her some extra love for me, haha

We have some extra stuff for the FE's that didn't make the list. Didn't package them so we will leave litte things for people when they least expect it.

As I sit here watching the snow fall I just keep reminding myself we are getting so much closer. Picked up the tux yesterday for formal night. Not sure what we will be wearing on debarkation day yet but we may go with the "geranimal" look.

Can you bring your own BOTTLE with you anywhere on the ship? I know you can bring it to dinner and pay the corking charge. But what if I want to bring it to Rockin D Bar? How WRONG is that? LOL Seriously, though. Can we do that?

Good News it stop raining, but it was cool today, well we were cold, but you might think it was warm, most people were wearing sweatshirts and pants.

So it is getting better. Just so you know the weather, it is slightly windy which is making if feel cooler. I wore medium weight jeans a light weight shirt and a sweatshrit jacket, without a hood and flip flops, I was cold around my neck and am thinking of getting a scarf at the store, I could have used some lightweight gloves also. The temp is 60 with 15mi winds. At home it is 62 no winds so it is a little better at home, but home isn't magic like it is here

Crowds are very like we went to MK, 10 min wait at space mountain. everything was little or no wait.


We are going to Wally World(walmart) I'll pick up a few more FE gift for our extra two families, while we are getting our food for our hotel room

Well-- just got back from the doggy doctor

It's official-- she can't see a thing. Not even shadows He said that she has all the symptoms of SARD (sudden acquired retinal deficiency). I guess it happens most often in spayed, female, overweight, middle-aged dogs in the winter (yes-- in the winter?!?!). She fits all of the above except overweight (she's pretty much right on target). She had 2 of the bloodwork symptoms (low white count and high something else). Bad news is: no cause, no cure. Good news is that it doesn't have any other health effects and she can live with it-- she just needs to adjust. So what do we do? We're going to leave her at another house for 11 days I feel like a horrible mom Can't I just hide her in my stateroom??? If I give her the antihistimines, she'll be so knocked out that maybe they'll just think she's a stuffed animal

The ordeal just got her a 45 minute belly rub though, so she's going to get some major spoiling benefits out of the deal because she now has me even more whipped than she already did

Thats cool! Hopefully they make it intact! We are driving to Florida from Michigan,(cold is not a problem here!) and spending the day Friday at the parks. I am going to put them in a cooler, but hopefully they don't melt.

So sorry to hear about your dog, the good news is that SARDS is not painful. Most dogs adapt really well to their surroundings ( I had one patient whose owner did not even realize her dog was blind it got along so well!) The big key is to not change any of the furniture around, or leave things on the floor she might trip over. Prayers for you and your doggie!

And then there were...how many of us are still at home?

I'm still stressing although I got some smaller things done for the cruise but I did get some larger things done for my biz and my PTO.

Kids are getting an early dismissal today because of most recent snow. I'd rather either a full or no school. These partial days just seem to take up more of my time somehow!

The snow brought one positive thing for me. No school during the day means all evening school activities are also cancelled so...no PTO evening tonight . If only I didn't have to work the book swap and run the am PTO meeting this morning!

I'll check in later. It sure has gotten quiet on here. I don't know why but I was hoping we'd reach 100 pages, nice round #. Do you think it will happen?

We are still at home! We leave tomorrow at 1:00 or 2:00. My friends are at Walt Disney World this week. They are not going on the cruise. I tried to tell them they should wait a month if they want heat, but they did not listen. Hey, at least it is comfortable though. We go to Disney in the summer as well. The last time we were at Animal Kingdom in July, I thought I had heat stroke. I would much rather be cool and be able to enjoy myself...but hey, I'm from Michigan so the cool weather doesn't bother me. I have learned to make the most of any situation, because what else can you do? We have many years worth of pictures at WDW in the rain with ponchos on...no biggie, you just have to be happy anyway on make the best of it!

Hi guys, I just wanted to pop in and say hi, we leave tomorrow morning, our flight is at 7 and is still "on time" but it's still snowing here, although all flight got out fine today, well the ones that are heading south. I've got zillions of things to do tonight but I'll try to drop in and say hi again before I shut down the computer for the duration. We have to get up at 4 am!!!!! not looking forward to that cause I know I'll be up all night! DH just brought in an armfull of clothes asking if Im doing wash, so I guess I am!! arghhhhhhhh... Firstly, Jen...you can hide your pup in our cabin for a couple of days also. I'll puppy sit so you could go play! I am just heart broken for you as a doggy mom. I know the guilt of leaving a sick dog behind. I won't even bother writing the story. The good side is that dogs are very resilient. I take it that she knows this family so she will be getting lots 'o loving while you are away.

Give her a good bely rub from us in CT and here's a hug fo ryou
