February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

I missed out on all the Palo Brunches... darn it!!!!!! was TOO late! but if I remember right, the same thing happened to me last year. I just kept checking and finally was able to get reservations, so hopefully that will happen again this year! I really am not to worried about it...

I would not worry about. I could not get a Brunch or a Tea on the WB Panama trip this year. I put myself on the waitlist for both and got called for both.

Wow! That Palo brunch must be amazing, I have seen photos and can't wait to see and taste the real deal, had to make my ressies for the first seating on the first day since I'll be starved by 10! :lmao:

I found a couple of great deals on swimsuits on black friday online for the cruise, can you guys believe that it is just a bit less than 3 months? Once the holidays are over time will pass sooo slow for me!

Today is my very last day at my current job, I start a new one tomorrow at a new state agency with a new design team. I am very excited and sad at the same time :scared: , I'll miss my current team mates an awful lot, I am still on denial about the whole thing.

This weekend I'll be heading to visit some friends near Orlando, so I'll make a stop at WDW and say hi to the Mouse for everybody.

Welcome Sandy!! Beware the Banditos, they will lead you astray (not that that is necessarily a bad thing) :lmao:

Johnna, at this rate, we will soon have enough gang members to commandeer Rockin' Bar D and force the tarbender to serve only Bushwhackers. pirate: Arrrrr!

BTW, do you have an updated spreadsheet to send out?

As of today, we are PAID IN FULL!! :woohoo: As for excursions, other than parasailing at CC, I'm not sure what we want to do. There are a couple of things that look good for St. Thomas/St. John but so far nothing has jumped out at me for St. Croix. We might just stay on board and enjoy the relatively empty ship.

Just over 12 weeks... or 87 days... or 2088 hours... or 125,280 minutes... or 7,516,800 seconds!!!

But who's counting? :rolleyes1

John

Will work on it over my Lean Cuisine ravioli and send it out soon. Thanks for the nudge. ;)

Nevermind - I just sent it. Couldn't wait. Now must go eat!! :)

Hi!

I've been lurking for months, but scared to write in case I would jinx myself and not end up going.

Well, not anymore because we're paid in full!!! This will be our 3rd Disney cruise - 1 4-night on the Wonder and 1 7-night trip on the Magic. My DD's - now 8 and 6 - don't even remember much of the first 2 trips, as they were 2/4 and 3/5 at the time.

We've got our Palo dinner reserved, but no brunches as mentioned above. We did that on our last trip, and it really was amazing. I guess I'll take your advice and get on the waiting list.

I also booked the double massage on Castaway Cay - sounds like a perfect way to spend time. We've been to Castaway Cay twice and I've never made it to Serenity Bay. This is the time!

Looking forward to getting to know, and I my DD's are hoping to "meet" some friends before we go to make the clubs a bit more fun. Anyone?

Kristin

Kristin - WELCOME to this crazy fun group of people who are ridiculously excited to get on the Magic and drink some Buschwackers already!!! :cool1: As you can see from John's post above, we are literally counting down the weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds... :rotfl: Glad you decided to jump in and join us.

I'm keeping a list of everyone's info and will be happy to share it with you. I'll send you a PM with all the info we need for the list, and you can PM or email the info to me - most importanly, don't forget your email because otherwise I won't know who to send it to. :goodvibes

Welcome aboard!

Again welcome to the new people. In the Rockin Bar D take over I got the booth next to the DJ booth. My friends and i were in that booth for 15 nights and we are looking forward to hoging it again Just on Kareoke night bring ear plugs as one of my friends has an iteresting voice.

Welcome Kristin!!!

My DD is 7 and would love to meet some new friends before we cruise! She is a regular social butterfly. Since her older brother and cousin will be in the Oceaneer Lab and she will be going to the Oceaneer Club, she'd be tickled pink to have a friend to play with.

When you get Johnna's spreadsheet, fire me off an e-mail and we will get something going.

John

ok I'll remember to bring ear plugs, haha on my cruise this summer, myself and all the college age people from the college club social all sang and let me tell you I felt sorry for the people in Rockin Bar' D:lmao:, but oh well never see the people again right

Woohoo! Just got an e-mail from my TA and for our cruise, Disney has given us a shipboard credit equal to the fuel surcharge. That's $154 for each of the two staterooms with 4 people and $133 for the two with 3 people.

:woohoo:

Bring on the Bushwhackers (or Mojitos... or Daquiris... or Pina Coladas... or...) :drinking1

Happy Friday everyone!!

John That is so awesome for you!! I will have to watch for that and if it does not come in the next day or so I will contact DU and ask!

Thanks I appreciate the heads up!

Happy Friday to everyone!!!

Good to hear that people are geting their fuel charges in OBC. This does not apply to us as we made our reservation well before the fuel charges took effect.

Am I understanding this correctly? All the brunch slots are taken? Surely there will be more available once we get onboard? :confused3

Hi Everyone,

With the cruise getting so close I finally decided to start planning :) This looked like a great thread. I tried to read the past posts but there's just too many! ;)
I was wondering if anyone knew how the dinner rotation would be (especially the semi & formal nights). I'm trying to decide when to reserve Palo and also when to put my son in the Nursery.

Thanks for the help!

Sunday should be formal and Thursday should be semi formal. Also Pirate should be Wed. Of course this is all guess work and since they have not done a trip to St. Croix yet it just may be different. If you call DCL they may be able to tell you what night is what, but as to rotation you will not find out till you board.

If all Brunch slots are gone online do not worry. Just go to Rockin Bar D when you board and see about the waiting list. This has worked very well for me. On the Panama cruise in May I was on the list for Tea. The first time they called we could not go as we made other plans but I asked to staybon the list. Well they called again and we went. Everytime I have been on a waiting list for brunch or tea they call. I hope that gives you hope.

That surely does give ME hope! :thumbsup2
I was afraid of not being able to get into Palo at all. I really, really, really wanna do the brunch and high tea!
