February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

Well, our plans are coming together. We decided to tack on 5 days at WDW for just the 4 of us before joining my brother and two sisters and their families on our cruise. Our TA has just sent me the finalized plans.

We fly from Calgary, thru Toronto to MCO on Sunday Feb 22nd, for 5 nights at Wilderness Lodge, then stay at MCO Hyatt the night of the 27th, which is when the rest of the gang flies in, and then catch the Disney transfer to the port on the 28th.

We have decided to make this little pre-cruise extension a secret... we are not telling the kids about it at all. We have even booked DD7 into the BBB for a princess makeover followed by the Cinderella buffet at 1900 Park Fare in the GF.

I don't want to wish the winter away (well actually, I do), but can this cruise get here any faster??? The time between now and Christmas will go quickly enough, but if anyone has a secret to make the whole month of January go POOF and disappear, please share it...

And my Mr. Mom days are almost over... DH gets back from Africa on Thursday!!!

This morning at 3am my sister in law finally had her baby!
We have a brand new 8 lb, 12 ounce, 21 inch long bouncing baby boy in our family!

If I am reading correctly does that mean each cabin can mmake only one Palo reservation?? Does this mean if I have two cabins with a linked reservation that I can make two reservations?

It is suppose to be one brunch and one dinner allowed per person (so per name). So we usually book our special celebration dates ahead of time. Once on the ship, (NOT the 1st day though) and tack on to someone else's reservation if I just want to dine with them. I love the company of BJ and Ron, so if they allow me, I will add on to the one they make. This does not require an additional server or table, so many times it is allowed. I hope this helps.

I've been eating Turkey all week long lol, my mom got a good deal on a turkey and since she doesn't have to do thanksgiving she cooked a turkey saturday just for our family, still can eat more turkey lol and shopping I'm deff ready for that

Wanda, I got the same e-mail... twice so far. Since I am paying for all 4 staterooms for our cruise, this is great news for me, especially with what has been happening to the loonie. Also, my TA at DU sent me the flight itinerary for the NB contingent of the family, and said to let her know if we wanted to book our own flights to get a better itinerary and maybe a better price. Looking into that right now.

Olaf, welcome to the Banditos! We are bringing teenagers as well (my 15 year old niece and 17 year old niece and nephew), but not being too naughty, as we planned around their spring break, but we are hauling the 7, 9 and 10 year olds out of school for a week or more. I spoke with their teachers and they had no problem with it... they will give them "assignments" and are of the opinion that any travel is a good learning experience.

A word of warning Olaf, if you haven't read through the whole thread yet... guard your KTTW card carefully!!! Rumour is that there are some rather shifty characters on this cruise that like to soak up Bushwhackers like sponges, and have a nefarious plan to have the last person joining this thread pay for their debauchery. If you read the thread carefully, you might be able to identify the suspects...

Oh, and Happy Turkey Day to all those south of the 49th parallel. Don't eat TOO much!!!

I hope everybody has a wonderful Turkey Day, DH and I just finished our first Turkey Trot 5K and had a blast, now to watch movies, play video games and eat pizza all day

I love the holidays! Next weekend we'll go visit friends and help them find and cut a Christmas tree, go on a hayride, a Christmas tree maze and have hot dogs and smores by a bonfire. Now... how cool is that?

Well I was able to get a brunch reservation on my Birthday the first day at sea. I was also able to get a High Tea on the third sea day. That made me very happy as well. I hope others got what they wanted as well. GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!

Just got my Palo brunch, 2 shore excursions, and a spa treatment booked! Thanks to dial-up, it took me an hour and 30 minutes. I finally had to just use my iphone. 1:43 a.m. and bedtime for me. Good night and good luck to everyone booking.

I am posting this with my iPhone. Can you tell me the secret to making the DCL web site work right. It never seems to load right. Not to make fun, but if you have a iPhone (so 21st century) why dial up? (so 20th century). Just wondering. I mean no offence.
