February 26, 2005, Magic Western

I actually booked with Disney, I just thought that it would be easier, and they have an excursion starting at 7:20 same time as my husband does the scuba diving, so that we can all do ou excursions and then do something together later on.....
I am looking forward to meeting you.

Hi! I just found this thread. I can't believe how close we are getting!

We will have myself, DH Kevin, DS Matt (almost 7) and DS Mikey (4 1/2). This will be the boys 1st cruise (it took me FOREVER to convince DH that the boys will not be able to climb the rails and fall overboard!) and our 1st Disney cruise. Soooooooo excited!

Welcome to our link! We've got 75 days and counting. I have a list of people sailing with us kept on my own PC. We should get together during the trip but speaking from experience, this is easier said than done. This is our fifth on DCL. I'm sticking with something I love.

Keep this link on your favorites and the closer we get maybe we can plan a meet.

Kim

Happy holidays, every one, we are really getting closer to the cruise, only 9 more weeks.......
it seems that our group is getting bigger, it might be fun to all meet. On our last cruise we had a quick meet on the first day, and it was a lot of fun all week to run into each other, chat at the pools while the kids were swimming.
It is cold and snowy here and we are all really looking forward to the cruise. :boat:

Hope everyone had a great Christmas...only 61 more days until we leave for our cruise! I can't wait for some warm weather. This past week has been SOOOO cold here (temps around 5-10 degrees!).

OMG it is sooo cold in CT today. I just paid off the final balance for our trip and it feels so good. I cannot wait to get in that warm water.

...now if I can just get this holiday and pre-holiday 12 lbs off I'll feel so much better.

I've got a list going so that we might be able to say hellos to everyone once we board.

Kim :flower1:

Hi all! I had to cancel our 2/26 trip on Magic. My DM, 85 years young, wants to cruise to Alaska. So we will be on the Radiance of the Seas this summer. Not sure of the date yet. Have a great time!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! I'm very excited to be cruising with you all on February 26! My entire family my parents, grandmother, dd (16), ds (14), ds (8), my brother, sister-in-law, neice (4), nephew (3), and myself! My husband choose to STAY home, he is afraid of flying and is going on a hunting trip instead--I figure its his loss!!!!!!! This will be the first cruise for my family and brother's family. My parents and my grandmother have cruised several times before, but this will be their first Disney Cruise. We are ALL VERY EXCITED about this!!! I even have to admit I started to pack a few things in my carry on today!!! Patti

It is coming quickly, we should be getting our papers in about a month.
We are all getting very excited about the cruise, we had 8 inches of snow and freezing rain this morning, so a bahama mama by the pool sounds very good right now.
See you all in 7 weeks.

Hey Christine! We're in CT and freezing rain today after really nasty weather this week - school cancellations and everything. Last night I had a dream I was on the beach and we were looking at the shells and fishies. I dreamt we forgot our camera! yikes! You're going to have to catch up with me so we can share a toast on board. I'm not a drinker (failed weight watcher and all!) but man I'm getting a tall one when I wait to hear that horn go off.
I'm reserving Captain Marvin today. They're going to give a 10% repeat customer discount to us.

Talk with you soon!
Kim

Wow! Only 43 days to go! I am getting SO excited! Today I bought myself a gorgeous evening dress for formal night! I am hoping that I can get into the spa that day to have a updo done (I am horrible at fixing my own hair)!
Now it's time to contact Shirley and order some gift baskets!
See you all soon!

We are getting so close, 6 weeks from today we will be there.
Anyone looking for me on that day I will be on deck 9 watching my kids having fun in the pool.
Does anyone want to meet? we could have a really quick meet after the drill and right before the sail away party. We did that on the cruise last year, and it worked very well, we met in the lounge on deck 3.
I was in New York city for work last week, and it was so dreary, all I could think of was cruising, I was dreaming of flying to Florida instead of NYC....
See you all very soon :cheer2:

I'll probably see you by the pool. I plan to get onboard early, eat lunch, get Palo ressies and then hit the pool.
A Dis meet would be fun.
I must admit, I feel a little bit guilty reading your previous posts. It's been in the 60s here in SC and has been a very mild winter so far. I used to live in NY (and then VT) and don't miss that snow one bit!
Amanda

we might spend a lot of time by the pool watching the kids.......
We could do a meet by the mickey pool, I know that I will be around there early.
My 2 girls are identical in size one is a brunette, one is blond.....

I have 2 boys, both with brown hair. DS (almost 7) is taller but his brother (4 1/2) weighs more!

Our boys, Nicholas and Joshua, aged 9 and 7, think we're going skiing out West in February, so they should be surprised when the plane heads south to Florida, and even more surprised when they see the ship. Hopefully, the excitement will help Josh overcome the disappointment of not returning to Maui this spring for surfing lessons.

This is our first Disney experience (we're not big Disney fans), but with the boys growing older and their interests rapidly changing, it's now or never.

We're doing Stingray City in Grand Cayman and have chartered a 5-seater Cessna 206 in Cozumel to see the ruins at Chichen Itza. I couldn't deal with the 4-5 hour bus ride to see the Tulum ruins.

Anyone travelling with boys aged 7-10?

Cheers!

We would love to meet all of you! We are hoping to be on the ship as soon as they will let us on. We will probably be by the Mickey pool after lunch. My DD will be the blond 5 YO going down the Mickey slide non-stop and my DS will be the blonde 2 YO terrorizing the other kids in the Mickey ear. I plan on being the blonde 33 YO sitting in a lounge chair by the pool with a drink in hand!

Stay warm everyone...it's all of 3 degrees here at the moment! YIKES!

My girls are 7 and 9, so I am sure that the kids will meet in the kids club, I guess that is it, we can all meet by the Mickey pool, I will try to find some lime ribbon, so that we can identify ourselves.......
I am 41, brown hair (with the help of clairol) and even after 23 years in the US, I have a very strong french accent, so if you hear anyone calling Emilie, and Camille that will be me....
OK we are off to going skiing right now......

Christine,

Do your girls speak/understand any French? We're a bilingual family so we switch back and forth all the time, sometimes within the same conversation. It would be great to meet up prior to the ship's departure. One week is such a short time for kids to connect with other kids, so arranging a meeting upfront certainly helps them get organized in their adventures.

We're flying in to Florida on the 25th, just as a precaution. You never know what a Montreal winter can bring your way and I don't want to risk missing the ship's departure due to a delayed flight.

BTW, we also booked Stingray City through DCL, so maybe we can get on the same boat for that excursion. We both scuba dive, but since the kids were born, we have had to switch to snorkelling, at least for now. We have the second seating for dinner.

My boys are blond and strawberry blond and very fair. My husband Marcel is 41 and I'm 38. How about exchanging kid photos to make identifying one another easier?

Cheers!
Brenda

I'm sure we will be spending a lot of time at the pool as well. I'm 41 and ready for a vacation from this frigid Illinois weather!!! My youngest DS is 8 my older DS is 14 and my DD is 16. My brother and sister in law will also be along with niece 4 and nephew 3. We plan to go to sting ray city also. This is our 1st cruise ever and we are Very Excited! Especially since its DCL! We are Definetly Big Disney Fans! Patti
