mommymedic - Way to go. Very clever solution to your problem. I'm glad that you only had 4 to post, or we could have been here for a while.

emmysdidi- It had not occurred to me that they might resurrect the "Kids Sail Free" promotion. It seems that our sailing would be a prime candidate. But they would have to do it by December 12 for us to take advantage, as I believe it is for new bookings only and that is the last day we cancel and still get a full refund. If anyone hears something, please let us know.

goiu - I thought that I was good at vacation logistics, but it would never occur to me to book flights and hotels before booking the cruise, then take advantage of the on-board discount. You should get some sort of medal for that. Or maybe just a day on Castaway Cay. Oh yeah, you'll be there next week. Hope your trip is great!

Booked our flights and hotel rooms last night! Yipee!

Trying to book a vacation for 12 people is a total pain. So glad we have pushed past all of that. Now on to all the fun stuff!

Anyone settled in on decisions for excursions yet? We are still talking about what we would like to do. Again, 12 people. . . too many opinions!

We picked up a Captain Hook costume for DS. Figured we could get double use with Halloween coming up and then Pirates IN the Caribbean night on the ship! My SIL will be dressing her DD (5 mo) as Tinkerbell. So cute! Yes, we will be fully dressed for the occasion!

Less than 5 months! Let the pre-cruise diet begin!

Hello all!

Just got done with my busiest week at work! I organize the departmental meetings for this week, all travel, meals, you get the picture, and now that evyerone's gone, i can actually take days off again!

Emmysdidi- I just PM'd you my e-mail address. I've got an idea for our FE gift. Has anyone bought an hanger yet? I'm going to start searching Etsy, does anyone have any makers to suggest?

I've gotta get cracking and book our hotels for airport and in FLA, as well as put pressure on Dear Papa to find his birth cert. so the parentals can go get passports soon!

DS is reusing his Darth Vader halloween costume for the 3rd year in a row (yes, i am one of those moms who buys everything big!). I will be shopping for pirate gear the day AFTER halloween, to get some of the sales!

Crossing my fingers for good weather next weekend so I can surprise the kids with a trip to Magic Kingdom. We're skipping the NSS Halloween party this year, but still thought it would be fun to visit during the holidays

Hello Everyone,

It seems like forever since I have been able to browse the DIS .... Darn work getting in the way of my Disney obsession again! I have been able to pick up some great pirate costume items from second hand stores though which has me psyched, if only I can keep track of them from now until February as the kids keep finding them and dressing up. My DS3 is huge into pretend play and loves his tickle trunk of costumes. My DS6 gets into less now that he's a "big school kid" and only participates if he can be Luke, Anakin or Darth vader ..... Thus far the pirate stuff has been safe from him.
I also went shopping with a good friend and picked up my formal dress! Can't tell you how excited I am for this! I work primarily from home and my other job is as a soccer coach so getting out of sweats these days is rare , a formal dress and shoes is like an alternate dimension right now!

I am starting to make lists for the FE exchange, can anyone provide ideas or things done/received in the past? I would like to give it a unique Atlantic Canadian spin.

Hi guys! We had such a wonderful time on the Eastern last week! We had only one day of rain. Of course, it was at Castaway Cay. Although, within an hour of them letting people off the boat the skies cleared up and it was the most beautiful day every! So, the whole trip was awesome!

The bad news is that we won't be joining you now. We found out the Mexican Riviera cruise at the same time is 1/2 the price of this one with the kids sail free promotion. So, we booked that instead. It saved us over $2,000 and got us a better room! I'm hesitant of going since we'll miss Castaway Cay, but I'm going to give it a try.

Anyways, if anyone has any questions about our trip last week let me know!

Just finalized booking our family holiday trip to Disneyland! Whoo hoo! I love all the Christmas decorations and festivities. It's my favorite time to visit Disneyland as well as a holiday tradition for my family. More planning and organization but well worth it. Anyone else getting holiday plans underway? I love this time of year!!!
