I started a Facebook page just for fun! Use it to share links, photos, anything you want!

I enjoy social media and if you have kids, as long as they have permission from their parents, they can post there!

Thanks!

Oh yeah ............

Just booked this cruise!!!!

YIPEE!!!

our first adult only DCL Cruise.....

I am sooo stoked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully we will keep our 2013 cruise as well but if not its all good!!!!:hippie:

I don't have much to say to this except... :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: party: :dogdance: :jumping1: :thumbsup2

That is all.

Okay so i am reading from the beginning............
Did you come up with a name for the cruise yet???

normally we make a shirt with the cruise name on it, but i think this time it will just be a button on our shirts since its no kids this time.

I also have a question, regarding FE's - are we doing the exchange on some kind of schedule, or just whenever? I have only done one, but it was set up so that each family who participated had an assigned day, with some days having multiple deliveries (I think we had 20-25 families.) I think this was to keep the FE's from getting overloaded on any given day, and to make sure there were no "empty days.". For us, it also helped in writing thank-you notes, as we knew who had given us what. Some people had day-specific gifts (like bandanas for pirate night, or a Spanish/English cheat-sheet for Cozumel).

I know it's a lot of work, so I am happy either way. I also don't mind helping to organize if necessary - this or anything else. Are we doing any "Meet & Greets" onboard? Can you tell I'm getting excited?? Super big time, now that my cruise buddy, dizzi, booked! If anyone has wondered if you can really make lasting friendships on here or on the ship....I can tell you for certain that you can. ;)

I think a good place to have a first day meet and greet is on deck.
This way the adults can have a drink and the kids can be in the pools.

On our last cruise, we just went the random route for when to deliver Fish Extender gifts. There was always great anticipation each time we returned to the cabin - will there be anything? I'm afraid that it never occurred to us to write thank you notes. I suppose we thought of the gifts we gave as a thank you to everyone else. If anyone has something for a particular day, go ahead and pick that day to deliver. Personally, I like the flexibility of randomness. However, I'm game to go with assigned days if that's how we decided to go.

I do remember that we chose to distribute our gifts on a day in port that we didn't leave the ship. It was an adventure to wander all over the decks and try not to get "caught" by the recipients.

My previous FE was random delivery as well. I too enjoyed the anticipation and surprise. We delivered our gifts on an evening after first rotation dinner. We chose to skip the show that night. We actually ran into another FE family during our delivery and ended up joining them for the walk around the ship. It was a lot of fun. The woman that complied the FE list for our group printed out a ship map for each level and labeled the rooms that were participating. Made for quick and easy delivery. I'd be willing to help as well! Thank you for all your work thus far emmysdidi!

Having never cruised before, i'm open to either idea for the FE delivery. I can help too, just let me know!

As far as names, i'm not that creative!

well i had sent emmy'sdidi a pm on monday does any one chat with her on facebook?

As the OP of the thread dont want to do anything without her

This is just the least talkative meet thread i have ever been on so things are but slower moving than i am used too.

So i will patient for a bit longer til she pops back in here.

And see if she has any ideas about name for the cruise.

One year the whole meet thread i was on all joined in and bought lanyards and bracelets with the cruise name on it.

wow how does that happen my post are going before your post beth but it says you posted at 2:04 and it is only 1:45.

weird

Beth,

What part of Ohio are you from?
USed to live in Akron and SHaker Heights.

We are thinking about getting married right before the Cruise to make US officially DH AN DW since we are just right now pretending:rotfl2:

I have a really long thread out on the Disney park boards but any one here got any ideas.

We thought about renting a room at BAY LAKE with a view of MK and doing it in the room
But we also thought about doing it on the beach at sunrise right before we get on the ship.

Any one know what side of the ship i want to be on to see CC out our window , we are thinking of going ahead and changing our room to a port hole..... although maybe i should wait a bit since we are GTY we could get a free upgrade and just wait and see closer to time to leave if i want to pay for an upgrade if we dont get one???

UGGHHH i dunno what to
