I called about POR for 5 people, she said no discount for standard room, so the discount on the preferred room ends up being about $3 a night more than a standard room's rack rate for my dates.

#lamestdicountever We usually don't choose a preferred room so that's not a great discount for us. They should just call it the "preferred room at no extra charge discount".

I'm upgrading to Caribbean to get more savings. It will only be $80 more than I was going to pay for my non-discounted value. I haven't every stayed at CBR so I better do some research!

I wasn't able to find any. My agent had to call WDW with my card number to make the changes. When they're released to non-Visa holders you should be able to play with quotes online.

No. U can only call for visa discount. On the 28th (or when it gets released) u can check online

Was on the phone for an hour and had the worst rep ever... Coronado had no standard for my dates and she had to keep calling her customer service for help with how to run numbers on other resorts. After all that "ever discount was booked" last week of February... I'll try again later

Sometimes with offers it's harder to find standard views. It may be worth running the numbers on other views.
If you have any flexibility with your dates, maybe that will help. Sometimes I check what is available (for my preferred dates) online at rack rate. No guarantees there will be similar discounts when I call, but I find often there are.

I hope you have better luck when you call back.

Saved $181 standard pop 5night/4day ph qsdp end of February first of March

Didn't even ask my card number info, nothing.
Idk if that's because it's stored in my account. Was told standard was the only room type left at pop with the promotion

My dates are set because I already bought my air. I had no problem upgrading from standard view but after multiple tries for my dates she said no discounts were left for Feb 20-27 any moderate or deluxe resort any view. She could see the rooms but would get an error. Like I said I'll try again later or just wait for the public code on Monday

We're staying at BC with a 25% discount. I'm grateful for the poster that mentioned the SPD isn't as good this year because I thought maybe it was just me. I was thinking about doing SPD, but when my TA called me it was a couple hundred dollars more than what I thought it should be based on last year's criteria so we stayed with the room only discount. She questioned me just a bit thinking we'd still pay more out of pocket than if we did SPD, but knowing how DH and I eat, I think we'll be okay.

Do you have anything anywhere that is less than that amount a for a family of 5 with the discount? She found me a garden view room at POR.

We are booked for 3/28 - 4/5 at POFQ with dining plan...which of course is excluded. How good is this deal? Do I want to switch resorts? Or is there a chance of another deal coming along that would apply to me..anybody know?

And I called back after work and in under 10 minutes got standard view at Coronado springs w/SPD. It's amazing the difference between reps sometimes.
