Our ADR is for 5 at 6:10pm, so that should work out great. I am going to finalize our plans on the 8th and send you a PM after that when I'm ready to cancel.

Thanks sooo much to all you Disers out there! This worked out great for us. Our original total was $5430.38. New total is $4348.57. That is for 2 adults, one Disney adult, and one child for 9 nights at POFQ. We did the SPD discount. I'm VERY happy with the discount! I love this website!

Congrats...that's not bad at all!!!!

Booked POR tonight w/visa discount.

We are going Feb27-March 3 for a 1st bday trip. Crossing fingers I made the right choice in the moderate range hotels!

I did also for Feb 2-6. I've never stayed there but walked through one time when I was at POFQ. It's a beautiful resort. I'm looking forward to my trip in February. LOL Trying to stay focused on November first. :)

Love my Disney Visa Rewards!!!

Glad to see the Visa discount is out. I'll call in the morning about it to see if I can get if applied to my reservation.

Is the SPD thing good with that or only the room only discount?

Also, is SPD good if you're only staying 3 nights or do you need a longer stay?

If you wind up making a different reservation, how does that work with your dining reservations? I don't want to lose those.

Thanks!

Does anyone think there will be a RO or SPD discount for the LM rooms at AoA when the general public or AP discounts come out? I want to switch to Pop but still want to wait and see just in case.

There wasn't last year and I believe that's the plan for this year as well.

:cool1: Got our package reservation with Disney Visa booked!!
Room only ressie for Friday Feb. 7 in LM AoA!! Package starts at CB Feb. 8-15!!
So excited!!!!:hyper:

I know I have to keep things in perspective..first world problems and overlooking the fact that we are going on a Disney vacation where there are lots of people who aren't but I have this overwhelming feeling when I call on the 8th POFQ will be gone for our dates. I know I can switch over to POR or another moderate but we really wanted POFQ this trip. I know, pity party for one!!! With the changes to the pool rules does anyone know if you will still be able to use the POFQ pool if you are staying at POR? I thought you could before since they are considered sister resorts but didn't know if the new restrictions to the pools changed that.

Good luck to everyone calling on the 8th but seriously stay away from POFQ from 2/15-2/21!!!:rotfl2:

I've been tracking the discounts people are reporting and 6 out of 10 of them are for POFQ.

I'm planning on POR or CSR when I call on tuesday. :P

I will try to answer your questions ---:)

The Disney Visa offer was for either a room only discount or the stay/play/dine deal where adults get kids' pricing on their tickets and dining plan. The dining plan is the regular plan for mods and deluxe. I think it is just quick service for the values but you can change to regular plan for a fee (difference between adult quick service and adult regular plan).

I think the minimum stay with the s/p/d deal is 3 nights. So you would be fine.

Your dining reservations will stay the same. They are linked to your personal phone number and not to the hotel reservation. I asked before I changed and then after when I logged into my account all my previous dining plans were still there! :thumbsup2

When I called yesterday to get the Disney Visa discount, I tried to get either deal (room only and stay/play/dine) deal for AoA Little Mermaid roons and could not get either one. The rep I spoke with said I could get the deal with the Art of Animation Family Suites but not on the regular standard Little Mermaid rooms.

I ended up calling back and had a different representative and she said the same thing. So, I do not expect the LM rooms will be part of the general public deal.

I ended up switching to a mod to get the deal.

We solved our "choke on the price" dilemma by scaling back to room only. We'll buy tickets separately and skip the dining plan, just pay OOP. Unless, of course, we find ourselves feeling flush between now and Feb., in which case we can always upgrade. Dh is feeling better about things. Also, I'll start getting more Disney GCs at Target with my 5% off thingies there, to help pay for meals.

If you have a Disney Visa I wouldn't keep waiting. It would be a major surprise if there were any discounts for LM rooms via any offer.

I just switched from BLT to AKL to get a better discount. I already regret it. Why does this feel so stressful. It's vacation for goodness sake!
