We are hoping for a discount Feb 17-22, just a short trip before a short cruise on DCL

There will be. I booked a split stay feb18-21 at POR and feb 21-24 at CR. Got a discount at both!

Oh my god. I want to go back to POR in February soooo bad but I am so torn about what to do! Last year we went the first week of February, during my boyfriend's reading week and it was perfect. This year however, I am going back to school in January and my reading week is a different week than his. He is in law school and can't really miss anything so we would have to go during his week off, but I am worried about missing a whole week of my school. I did it a few times when I was in university, but I am going back for accounting and I don't want to miss any super important math formulas or anything (LOL!) and get behind. I can't make up my mind!! I also won't know my class schedules until December, so I'm worried that a test or mid-term could be scheduled for the week we want to go (Feb 1-8). I really want to book when the S/P/D deal comes out to the public so that I don't miss out on POR! I don't know what to do! If I book now I can cancel without penalty until up to 45 days before the trip, right? I will even get my deposit back? I was thinking of maybe doing that, paying the $200 deposit and then just waiting until I get my class schedules and seeing if it will work out. What does everyone have to say on this subject? I need help from the Dis'ers!!

Just book! You are correct about the 45 days. The only thing you' have to worry about losing money on is airfare, if you're even flying. But you could just wait till December to book your flight. I'm not sure what prices would be like, though.

So having done the math, it looks like it will cost me about $350 more to do a moderate resort with SPD, vs a value resort with SPD and paying to upgrade to regular dining. I'm thinking we're gonna go for it

Now to decided which one: POR or CSR.

Something is going on. The standard room at Movies I was looking at was $110 and now is showing as $96 even though I can't get further on in the reservation process.

So confused on trying to run the math on the potential discounts for tomorrow. Can someone take pity in me and crunch numbers for the s/p/d for 4 adults at a value and a moderate resort? We were gonna take the tickets and turn them in for annual passes but I can't figure up the numbers just for the s/p/d deal

Confused...where are people finding discount codes? Is this only available if you have a Disney Visa...because I don't. But I'm watching for deals! I don't see the SPD package available online either. Please help me understand!

Deals are coming out for the public tomorrow. Others getting it now either have a DV or a pin.

To Clarify incase poohbear didn't understand....
DV = Disney Visa (those discounts came out last week)
Pin or Pin code is something that gets randomly mailed or emailed to people.
It's a Mystery how people get chosen to earn a pin code.

So at this point you won't be finding the information online.

The general public discounts will open up tomorrow. Unless something magical happens in the online system.

I know when my 180 days came up I was able to do online booking at 6am for my Table reservations.
I can't remember if people were able to book for fall online before 7am. I don't want to get people's hopes up.

Also keep in mind, people will book at a resort to grab a reservation if the place they really want isn't available but will also keep looking to call and change their reservation at a later time. Don't give up hope if you get a busy signal when you try calling tomorrow. But if it does open you can book online, then I'd try that before waiting 6 hours.

For November bookings people were on hold for 6 hours. Crazy stuff.

Good luck! I love my Disney Visa. In 3 years without trying super hard until the past 6 months, I was able to accumulate $600 in rewards points for my November vacation. I should have $200 for my February vacation. I just use the card instead of cash, and when the bill comes, use the cash to pay the bill. It's free money. And then now I got to book my February a week earlier than general public.
I don't have to be stressed tomorrow.
