Just curious to see how many Dis'ers there are staying at WL in February.

We will be there Feb 4-13. Hard to believe it is just around the corner!! This is our first time staying there and we are so excited!! :yay:

We are 10 days out. Until yesterday I was super excited. We're booked Feb 5-12. We found out that they are doing a bunch of refurbs to the hot tubs and geyser that had never been mentioned. We had planned a lot of hot tub time in the evenings. Oh well!

At least we will be at the Lodge though, right? We normally stay at POR, which we do love BTW, but the 40% off made it possible to stay here this time.

Did you get a courtyard view?

I agree, at least we're staying at the lodge. We did POFQ for our Honeymoon and we loved it. I called to see if we could change resorts last night (really wanting hot tubs) but they could only downgrade us to a moderate and the hubby won't go for that. Anyhow, we're still looking forward to our trip and yes, we got a Courtyard View. How could we not at 40% off right? I also booked that fish excursion that will pick us up at the Lodge, so I hated to change. It would make it harder to surprise him...

I am still toying with doing the fishing. I think at the very least we are going to rent a pontoon to take out into the lake. I have wanted to do that for some time.

Any big meals planned?

Here's our TS schedule:

Saturday: Liberty Tree Tavern -Dinner

Sunday: Kona - Breakfast
Whispering Canyon - Dinner

Monday: Le Cellier - Lunch
Teppan Edo- Dinner

Tuesday: Margaritaville (YUM!)

Wednesday: Tusker House - Breakfast (Because every adult needs 1 good character meal!)

Thursday: Fulton's - Dinner (We did this on our honeymoon and loved it)

Friday: 'Ohana - Dinner

The rest will be CS unless we decide otherwise I guess. I can imagine the schedule would be a WHOLE lot different if we had kiddos!
Did you do the early check-in?

They have a hotub over at the villas pool. short walk and ahem....private:rolleyes1
Have a great trip:goodvibes

We were very excited to saty at WL...our first deluxe experience. :goodvibes When we (I) found out about the refurbs there I called and switched to AKL for the same price. I am thinking we got very lucky. Hopefully it is an indication that it will be a less busy time in the parks for us next week.

Here is ours:

Saturday: Raglan Road - lunch
Fulton's - Dinner

Sunday: ESPN Club - Lunch

Monday: Ohana - Dinner

Tuesday: Via Napoli - Lunch
Le Cellier - Dinner

Thursday: Captain's Grill - Dinner

Friday: Crystal Palace - Breakfast (Tradition)

We are thinking of adding Yachtsman for dinner on Friday, but not 100% yet.

We will do online check-in soon.

We'll be there next week as well -- DH, DS7 and myself. The hot tub issue doesn't really bother us. In fact last time (Jan '09) we were there we didn't use the pool area at all especially when we saw all the ducks swimming in the pool. :)

Plus we were constantly on the go. We're not ones to stop during the day for a break.

We tried but there were no rooms left at the price we paid. If the villa hot tub is open we will have to try it. When the cm called the wl to check they said all of the hot tubs were closed. Oh well, we won't be here in snowy cold Ohio. And I won't be sitting at home missing meetings because school is closed!

We were supposed to be staying there in 2 1/2 weeks, but also switched when I found out about the hot tubs. :sad1: The hot tubs were a big deal to DD and I since we were planning to spend a lot of time there. We were able to switch to AKL for a little more and we're starting to get excited about it now -it took me a couple days to get over losing WL.

We arrive next Tuesday. I don't really care about the hot tubs, but was a little disappointed the geyser isn't working. The truth is I doubt I would take the time to wait to see it go off so it really won't affect the trip. ;)

I am more concerned that it looks like it may rain a fair amount while we are there.

I wouldn't put too much stock in the weather forecast at this point. Those Florida rains usually don't last all day anyway. Plus I would rather deal with a little rain at Disney than snow and cold back home!

I read that the main tob tub will be operating Feb 18th. We'll just head over to the Villas for a dip before then.

That was what they told me when I called down there about it.

Oh I know on our last trip there was rain forecast most of the trip and we only had 1 night of rain.:goodvibes
