February 19, 2011 Magic Western - Presidents of the Caribbean!

I know I have to bring dress shoes for formal & semi-formal nights (where I will be less formal but more semi on both nights) but what do most men wear on their feet at dinner on "regular" nights....sandals? casual shoes?

hate to pack a bunch of shoes if I don't have to

It is really up to you. I brought one pair of black dress shoes and wore them with everything (tux, suit and my nightly Dockers). You will see quite a display of what is considered "dressed up" and "formal". The only place they are a little stricter with dress code is Palo.

Stupid question, but my DH is wanting me to ask since he has been dieting. Does anyone know if there are scales in the fitness room?

there are scales in the ladies and mens locker rooms by the fitness area, my suggestion is not to use it tho : )

hate to pack a bunch of shoes if I don't have to

This is going to be the most formal vacation I've been on in years. Wearing a suit jacket with flip-flops and a tacky Hawaiian shirt would appease my inner rebel. Of course my DW just saw me typing this and said "no you're not" as she walked away. :laughing:pirate:

My DH said he's bringing sandals, running shoes, & dress shoes. He will be wearing the running shoes there, so only needs to pack the other 2 shoes.
I don't know what I'm bringing yet. I hate bringing lots of shoes. I am bringing the same heels for both dress up nights & a pair of sandals for most days. I will need to wear different shoes from home b/c of the snow.

A week ago I was muttering about how I hate to dress up... I even considered being a rebel and just keeping to cruise-casual even on the dressier nights - but yesterday I took my mom shopping for clothes for the cruise and purchased 4 dresses and 4 pairs of shoes - all on sale...

So now I almost can't wait to dress up a few times ... almost.

Hi Susan,

We did a 4 day Wonder cruise a while ago (the last time Westfield schools had a week off in February, I think). It was chilly in Florida, but still shorts weather. I remember that it was pretty hot in Nassau and beautiful in Castaway Cay. The water was chilly, but we still got in!
I am SO SO over this snow. Finally getting my act together and going to start packing and have to find the girls' summer stuff! LOL.
Looking forward to meeting another Westfielder!
How old is your Wilson'er - girl or boy. My Emma (8) has bunch of friends there and has been grilling me!

Take care,
Bonnie
Thanks for the help with the weather - I've already pulled out the boys summer clothes to look through! Hopefully most things fit from last summer :)

Max is also 8 and in the 3rd grade. Wonder if Emma knows any of the girls in Max's class!
