What about driving out? Can you drive farther south and get a flight on Southwest out of another airport instead? By the time you're farther south, the airport will have declared an emergency and you should be able to have your ticket switched with no additional. You could leave tomorrow morning and pray you make it below the snow line.

We are catching the train on Thursday, so worst come to worst we will leave early Thursday morning, I think that the worst of the storm will be past us, if it is not and we are delayed and don't get the train we will drive, it takes us 18 hour from home, if we drive straight through, so I know that we will make it.
We will get there, I just would rather not drive.
Driving of course is always an option for you also, you could rent a car and drop it off before the cruise.

It takes 28 hours from here--if we drove straight through with no stops...

We thought of that, but for a few reasons it won't work for us. In the meantime, we are checking availability on all airports for Thursday...

Don't forget to check indirect flights as well -- your home airport to another airport that can change planes to Orlando. I'm sure there are some flights that are not listed because it would put you going out of the way but when you're in this situation, any open airport is a good one.

I've had to help my sister deal with this type of thing in the last year and I've found ways/routes to get her where she needed to go. She was at the airport and asking me questions and I was online finding a route for her with openings. She was telling the ticket agent how to route her because he was telling her there was no way to get to her destination that day. She made it there with plenty of time to spare.

They changed our forecast this morning for the timing on this front. They are now saying it will come through tonight and it'll be worse than they thought on our end. We'll have a chance of hail with thunderstorms tonight and it'll be over before we wake up tomorrow morning.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of you.

What the heck is up with the weather this week....it's almost like Mother Nature is toying with us. I dunno, jealous of our Disney Cruise maybe?

Thanks. Christian was CD when we were onboard in November and I know before that was Rachel so I'm hoping that maybe Brent will be on when we are there in December.

I am now entering the world of migraine country.
I am hoping if we get to the airport at 6:00 AM that we can get on some type of flight out!!
DCL won't refund us if we can't get down unless the airport closes for 24 hours either. That adds a bit of stress...

I have been taking Excedrine Migraine all day........
They are predicting 10 -15 inches of snow, so I am not sure what is going to happen. Isn't it supposed to be relaxing?

You all made look at the weather - (I never do - to depressing) We are looking at 10-12 inches here. bitter cold again, -13 real feel!!!

We don't fly out till friday so I'm alright here.

Anyone have sled dogs? or reindeer? OK what I say we should do is opposite what the kids do when they want a snow day! All PJs on the right way and put an extra pair on too!

Ok, I'm home from one trip, time to start getting ready for the NEXT ONE! I just checked the weather--the forecast is good for our flight, the extimated temp in the Bahamas for our week is mid 70s each day. Hooray!

Today, I did laundry and started working on the house...and unpacked. There's an "appointment" each day this week--vet, etc. along with packing. Can't wait to meet you in person!

Still pretty bad here...This is so frustrating.

Sue, it is not looking good, 8-16 inches of snow plus sleet and ice, which scares me more than the snow....

At least with our tornado watches tonight and in the morning tomorrow, it'll all be over and won't leave us with mounds of snow. If we're unlucky, we'll have massive destruction though. However. . . . whatever damage there is will be isolated and not widespread like Sue and the rest of the crew on the eastern seaboard will experience.

This afternoon was cleanup day. I cleaned the sunroom that my 3 yorkies occupy (mopping is my most hated chore), Courtney helped me get all three of them bathed and then dried (a 2 1/2 hour fiasco), vacuumed and mopped the kitchen, dining room and utility room, vacuumed the rest of the house, washed clothes, and washed and dried the dogs' beds. I'm exhausted and I'm nowhere near ready to pack this week. I still have to go shopping tomorrow! I guess my level of exhaustion is amplified because my 2 yo grandson slept here last night and he decided to have a 12 midnight to 6:30 am Disney channel fest while his sister was at home with a stomach virus. I was being the good Nana trying to keep him from getting sick all the while hoping he wasn't going to get me sick.

I will be sending pixie dust to our northern dwellers for the next 72 hours. May rain fall on your head instead of snow piling up on your doorstep.

On a better note, Cape Canaveral weather forecast has improved a little. Low in the 30's Friday night with highs on Saturday in the mid-60's.
