I'm away from the computer for 24 hrs and look what happens! like 4 more pages!

OK who's packing for me? I have sooo much to do between now and then! I have to keep a list so I can stay on task...you all remember my swimming dream!!!

I have a major school fundraiser sat night, 2 b'day parties, and 2 valentine's parties. Somebody please stop me from volunteering myself. I'll need plenty of this! but next week it will have bailey's in it!!!!!

It is bitter cold outside I need to move!

I suspect I'll be packing Thursday night into the wee hours. I can't wait to meet everyone! 3pm mickey pool!

Hi All,

I have to addmit that I haven't and my boss doesn't expect me to work hard today. She was so wonderful and took me to lunch and gave me some drinking money. Don't tell my soon to be DH but she wants me to spoil myself and I'm going to. We are almost ready to go but I will probably up till late finishing up and cleaning house. A co-worker is house/dog sitting and I don't want her to be in a dirty house. I'm a little "Anal" that way. It drives the men in my life crazy.

This will probably be my last post but I will try and check it to get updates. I would love to know all the information about the "cadburysmom" group. It sounds like mom is going to be a fun addition to our group.

? are we putting our names on the Mickey paint chips? Maybe our names with our posting name?

I will have pictures of the wedding to show and stories to tell.

I hope you all have safe and uneventfull trips to Orlando.

Safe travels to you too and can't wait to see the gorgeous wedding photos!

It is 68 degrees at the Cape right now! According to what the Radisson sent me via email this week, we'll have great starting weather too.

It does not look good right now
They are predicting a major nor'easter to begin on Tuesday night and go through Wednesday all day. It figures, the one day we finally get a big storm and it's the one day I was hoping it wouldn't be bad. Oh well, what can I do?

I am going to call Southwest today and see what our options are. If it is not too expensive, we may try to fly out late Tuesday night, but we could still get hit with the storm then too... I am also calling my TA to see what the cancellation policies at Universal are. We are in the 5 day window, so I think the hotel is nonrefundable. I don't think the tickets expire, but I will check...
Of course, according to Murphy's law....if I make all the changes and pay all the fees, the storm will surely go out to sea
I am packing the three boys today. My stuff is all out, it just needs to be packed neatly. I will finish packing tomorrow. Hopefully the storm goes out to sea and we can fly down to the sun on Wednesday...

We are driving to Washington on Wednesday and getting on the autotrain on Thursday, so I am also keeping an eye on it. Yesterday it seemed that the storm was predicted Monday, Tuesday.

I think if they are predicting a Tuesday night/Wednesday event for us, that you should be OK for Thursday. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too!

OK-just need to vent...
I called SWA. $750 dollars more for us to fly out on Tuesday. NOT gonna happen! If the airport declares a weather emergency, they will change for minimal cost or no cost. We have to check back with SWA and the airport on Monday and Tuesday.

Wow, after planning for 2 years, I hope this vacation doesn't unravel...please send us pixie dust!

I told my kids they are on "red alert." They have to be totally packed and ready to go by tonight. That way if SWA makes the changes for us on Tuesday, we will be ready. I am hoping if it doesn't go out to sea that we can fly out at 8:00 PM Tuesday night. At least it got the boys (and DH) moving to pack
Then if we do get flights changed, I will be on line getting a cheap hotel room for Tuesday night, changing/cancelling the towncar transport from the airport, and possibly booking a rental car for a few hours. So much for a relaxing Tuesday! And I feel so bad for my neighbors...we keep an eye on each other's house while the other is on vacation (and they also keep watch over my mom who lives with us). If we get hit with this storm, they will clear my 500ft driveway.
uggh...nice way to anticipate a vacation...
I don't care if I have to hitchhike, I am making it down to that ship!!

I hate to hear of the stress and anxiety that you must be going through. I posted in your other thread about making changes to your SWA tickets. Its easy to do online. I had to change our return flights for Ed and I when we decided to add on our second week. We paid about $16 each because the same fare wasn't available (was sold out) the following Saturday.

Let us know how you turn out with your ticket changes.

Looks like SWA's site is down somewhat right now. Check it online for yourself. Don't take the TA's word for it. Keep trying.

I talked to the SWA agent, not my TA. There would be no fee, but the price difference in tickets is $750...

And I thought getting Palo ressies was stressful
(I think my humor and mood may be bordering on hysteria, LOL)

I just priced a one way ticket from New Orleans to Orlando on 2/13 and its only $137 per person.

Check it out for yourself. It can't be $750!!!!

The 750 difference is the total for all 5 of us. Our original fare was something like $100pp, now it is $250pp. Each ticket would be $150 more.
