Laura: One thing to think about, I know my husband is going to looking for is a tv for the race, if its going to be on. If it was just a normal race he would not care , but Daytona 500 is different. He is hoping that it will be on somewhere on the ship. I dought it being it is showing on FOX and disney doesn't do Fox. oh well if he does find it he will just have to meet everyone later. haha

Hi everyone ~

Long time no speak ... we would love to be included in the FE if still possible. We are traveling with extended family, however only the following people and cabins would be participating:

Cabin 2603 - DH, Me , DD (17) and DD (11)

Cabin 2602 - DB, DSIL; DNephew (2); DNiece (9)

Cabin 2604 - DS(20), DS (16); DNephew (12)

This will be our 8th Disney Cruise and we love participating in the FE ... our last cruise (June 2009) we had a wonderful group of people and had a ball with the gift exchange. Please feel free to place my name on any day that you have a vacancy.

I'm going to guess we won't get cruise doc's any time soon. Just paid for the cruise on tuesday =) This was definately a last minute decision.
We would love to do the FE's no clue what our room number is just yet, but I know we are on deck 2.

SO SORRY! ALJSDAD AND CORWIN, would you post/pm me and let us know if you want to participate in the FE exchange, if so, your cabin #, an email if you want the final list via email, and CORWIN, the members of your group gender and age. I would like to have this info by tomorrownight (Sunday, Jan 17) so I can email/post the final list on Monday.

I am attempting to include hometowns, real names, and email addresses on the EMAILED list. I will bring extra copies of the list with me on the boat. If you get an upgrade at check in you can let me know at the MEET, which will be Sunday at 3 pm in the Promenade Lounge. I will also include my cell phone number which I'll keep on probably till sailing. You could also call my cabin, or I'll try to have a list on my cabin door on Sunday so you could write it on that, also.

Yes, I really enjoyed meeting you guys too. It just made me that more excited for the cruise.

we would love to meet everyone at the MEET on Sunday, but unfortunately just don't have the time to prepare to participate in the FE. Thanks for thinking of us!
You'll see ours hanging on the door from our last cruise, but we will stock it with treats for our girls, who by the way, have NO CLUE they are going on a cruise. We will let them figure it out when they see the red smokestacks!!

An idea for recognizing each other, how about we all get the same color bandanas and either wear them or tie them on something?

Anyone else from Massachusetts on this sailing? We were the majority of the boat last year!

Helloooooo cruisers!

My name is Jennifer and I'm from Maine, if you couldn't tell by my ID. I posted on the DIS as maine_jennifer for years now, but in the past year, I forgot my password. I also forgot to change my e-mail address when my ISP changed and can't use the "Forgot Your Password" feature. I contacted the admin a few times, but never got anywhere, so I finally just registered again.

My niece (16), nephew (13) & I will be on the 2/14 cruise and are super excited. Almost excited as that Slap Chop guy. We did a 4-night cruise in 2004 with other family members and I've done a 7-night western with their brother in 2005 and the 15-night EB Panama cruise with my parents.

For the 15-night cruise, we participate in the fish exchange and had a great time. There were about 100 rooms to hit, but we had plenty of time to do it. If there's any way we can get in on the exchange for February, we'd be grateful. If it's too late, that's fine too. I know I waited too long to get my act in gear and post here. If anyone still has questions, I'd be happy to throw in my $0.02.

We'll be flying in the day before and staying at the Hyatt in the airport. We did this in 2004 and had a blast wandering around the airport shops and swimming in the outdoor pool watching the planes take off.

Plans are pretty loose for the most part on the ship. We want to relax and soak up the sun and heat while we can. (Fingers crossed on the heat.) We're planning to enjoy the ship in Nassau, and have the Extreme Castaway Cay package (bikes, floats, sting rays, etc) booked for Castaway Cay. I'm a big pirate fan and will be dressing up that night. Took part in the Pirates On Seven Seas Lagoon event in 2006 and had way too much fun! Not sure if the kids will dress up, but that won't stop me!

After the cruise, we're spending two nights at BCV and plan to hit the highlights of HS & AK before flying back home on the 20th. On January 30th, we'll be volunteering at a local community program so the kids can earn their pass through the "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day" program.

Well, I suppose this is a pretty long post to start out with, but I've been following along with you all since November and feel right at home. Just 4 weeks from now, we'll be having dinner on the Disney Wonder!! At least I think so. Have to go check to see what dining time we signed up for. lol

Good to have you, Jennifer. Yes you are just in time to get in on the FE, we set today/early tomorrow as the cut off date to give people time to get things. Do you know your cabin #? I am putting together the final list of cabins to post/email tomorrow evening, if you would like me to email it to you please PM me with an email and real first names if you'd like. We plan on meeting on Sun, Feb 14 at 3pm in the Promenade Lounge to finally put faces with these names!
