What does everyone think about having a Dis Meet around one of the kids pools ,like the Mickey pool. That way the smaller kids wont be upset. Older kids understand if we drag them out of the pool. HAHA That way the older ones can get a snack and they wont be too upset either. Just not forsure of a good time. Plus I know it will be crowded. Any more ideas???

The pool area is fine (but yes will probably be crowded). Good point about the kids -- I am sure if the weather is warm (can always dream) that is where they will want to be. There are lounge chairs surrounding the pool, and tables and chairs along the railings. The Beverage Station & Splash Zone is on one side and Burgers/Tacos/Fries on the other -- we could meet by one of those areas. If not, perhaps on deck 10 overlooking the Mickey Pool? I am sure we will figure something out

That is what I was thinking that it might be too crowded, but I wanted to try to make it easier for the parents with small children. I like the idea of deck 10 overlooking the pool.

We need to remember we could potentially have 60+ people at our meet so the location needs to have space for that many people. Some other places I've seen for meets: Promenade Lounge, Diversions, Cove Cafe (I've read children are allowed in those areas upon embarkation). Right before the lifeboat drill (3ish) is a good time because at 3:30pm all services are suspended for the drill. How large is that secret deck on Deck 7?

Ok, I just have to ask... is there anyone else whose husband thinks they are completely nuts (in regards to this cruise of course!) I was telling my dh about the FE exchange and the magnets I was going to print and he just looked at me and said, "We are going to do WHAT?" Hee Hee! I think he thinks I've gone completely mad!

My husband has already said that if for some reason this cruise does not happen he has plans to commit me.

I'm right there with ya..... my husband was looking through my purse and came upon my cruise planning "packet" - 6 pages of calendar, things to do list, packing/tips list, our FE list - and he just shook his head! For a magnet I'm just sticking up our big Georgia Bulldog head that we have on the back of our car!

Deck 7 deck is very nice -- but will probably not accomodate 60 people --
Some other options would be the Main Lobby - by the Ariel Statue, or in front of the Walt Disney Theater -- I am sure we will "make it work" wherever it is

And yes, my DH thinks I lost it as well....

Well it is official. Wayne and I are booked! I'm so excited. This will be our first cruise without the kids. I think they are honestly upset about it, but they will get over it. Not only is it valentines day it is very close to our 15th anniversary =) Now I just have to count down the days.

My husband has the exact same reactions as yours!

Plus, when I saw my DBRO and DSIL and their kids this past weekend and asked them if they were getting excited (as I did a little happy dance), they looked at me like I was mad. And, they didn't know what I was talking about.

How can someone NOT be excited about going on DCL?!!!!

Laura: Are you e-mailing the final FE list with child ages/genders on it? Will that be sometime this weekend? I'm so excited about the stuff I got, I can't wait to pack the goodie bags. Plus, I want to have it all ready in enough time to ship them to our hotel we're staying at the night before.

I will give everyone through the weekend, and email the list on Monday, January 18, probably in the evening. I only have a few email addresses, if you want it emailed please PM me and PLEASE let me know your cabin number and which day you would like to distribute if you haven't already! Only one month to go WOO HOO! This time next month my family will either be in Port Canaveral or very close to it! You guys are welcome, I've enjoyed doing it, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself when there is no cruise planning to do (maybe get some actual work done) !!

The countdown is on! We have not received our cruise documents yet. I did get photo mats at Hobby Lobby today. I bought some Disney scrapbook stickers to put on them (i saw a pic on another thread...sooo cute). I ordered my FE...hope it gets here in time.

I showed my family, I was like "Look everyone lugage tags" and they were looking at me like I was crazy. My DD(14) said " ok AND" . They are so not going on this cruise with me if they don't get excited soon....

My family said I lost it long time ago. After i took my first cruise,(girls trip) I have been trying to get my family on one and thats all I talk about. But between the cruise talk and my love for the mouse its getting real bad around my house.
