February 12th, 2005 Western. Who's going???

Laura, If you haven't heard anything from Newport News about the status of your order, you might want to call and check on it. I just got off the phone with them and one of the suits and the wrap that I ordered were on back order until the 10th! So I cancelled those 2 things. Hopefully I'll like the other one that is coming to me. It's looking like I'll have to buy that miracle suit after all!

Anne, I do think you can enjoy any alcohol you buy in the ports on the ship but my understanding is that you can't take open bottles off the ship. So unless you think you can drink an entire liter of something on the ship, you're better off just keeping it for at home. I don't know what the savings will be like in GC or Cozumel but I remember on St. Maarten, Kahlua was something like $9 for a huge bottle. It would have cost at least double in the US. So the prices can be really good.
Hey I am all up for getting a bottle and having a drink fast with everyones left overs the last night!!!
But, I think you are right too, Jen. Maybe Mark may know the answer to this.

Mail came NO Docs!!!!!!!!!! :sad1: Has it ever been this late?

I would maybe give them until tomorrow and if you still don't have them, call DCL. I've read of other people not getting them until a week before but that's not how it usually works.

JenGang,

It looks like they shipped my stuff yesterday. According to the website. I order everything on line. It is nice to see the status there. Looks like no backorders.

As far as I know we haven't received our documents yet either. I'm sure Mark would have let me know if they were here.

No docs here either. D-SIL and D-BIL got their's today. We did not reserve at same time they did, nor with same TA.

A liter of Kahlua? Wow, not sure I can drink that in a few days. But hmmm, Kahlua in coffee, on ice, in a white/black russian :drinking1 ...maybe DH, D-SIL and D-BIL can help. Guess if I want to drink it on board, I may have to get a smaller bottle.

Oh, saw this guy and couldn't resist. Wish I had his moves :dancer:

Jen & all thanks for the reasurance about Cozumel--I'm sure we'll find a beach.

Dizny4us-Yes it's very hard to get out in this every am. Even when I got of work today it was only 14. Poor truck doesnt like being cold either!

Ok The doc thing is getting me a bit grumpy. I booked thru the cruising compy, from the mousesavers websit. I understand they book blocks of rooms, shouldnt they have gotten all the docs by now? She assured me they would then send them on. I'm going to email her tonight but dont expect much, I havent been real impressed.

Does anyone know if in KeyWest there is a liquor store? Would they sell it on Sundays??? Or does anyone one know if dcl has grey goose vodka on board?
I've been acused of being a vodka snob, but I dont drink all that much but when I do I like the smooth stuff. Thanks Wendy

Hmm, I don't know the answer to this one. When is Mark coming home Laura??? He seems to know the answers to these types of questions. LOL

According to our TA and Disney :hyper2: ... our docs were mailed to our TA yesterday, they expect them by Saturday and they will be mailed out probably to us by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

You guys talking about the cold......geeeeshhhhhh!!!!! Today it was a brutal minus 23 degrees.... :cold: Okay not even funny!!!

Have to go check out this 1/15 cruise... find out the scoop. LOL

Two weeks to go...... :jumping1:

Bye for now......

Julia

Mark will be home tomorrow. There are liquior stores in Key West. Don't know about pricing.

Hey, that sounds like the weather we had in MN a couple weeks ago! I don't envy you at all.

OK, DH will help you all with the Kahlua but I'm using some of Steph's vodka for Appletinis! :tilt:

Ok, Jen or Mark, (or anyone) I was just reading on trip reports, that they have a CM at the cafe in the terminal to sign up for the labs is this true?

That's what I've read on the boards so I'm assuming it to be true.

Julia--my husband has come your way for fishing. Hope he freezes to the ice. Never understood ice fishing. The only ice i want to fish for is in my drink glass. :drinking1 I emaild our ta last night will see what response i get.

The pricing in keywest doesnt bother me, I'm just trying to decide if I want to carry on a bottle or not. Husband would like to carry on beer but I know who would end of luging it all.

Sun's out here this am but only 5 degress going up to 20 or so.

Wendy

Good morning all,
I received an email this morning from my TA letting me know my docs have come!! :) I should get them early next week since he's somewhere else in the country. I used Tim at Cruise Company aka MouseEars I believe.

Girls sign me up for the drink fest...I'll bring a bottle of pre-mixed MudSlides...yum. :)

I can't believe we only have two weeks left...soooo excited, but I also think it's going to be a long two weeks.

The weather here in the South is a balmy 31 degrees with sleet and snow expected tonight and tomorrow. Yuck...how far south do I have to go to find warmth?? Oh yeah, the Carribean!!!!! :) Meet you'll there!!!
