Speaking of wines, anyone going to the wine tasting on board?

I would kind of like to do it but since I did it last year, I'm sure the wines they have will probably be the same. Even though they were good, I don't think I need to learn about them twice.

I heard if you are a big wine connoisseur then the wine tasting is a waste. I am debating if I should just go or not, we love wines and have our own little collection at home. I think it may be fun!!! :drinking1 We are going to be bringing some of our own. The wine selection and prices are horrible from what I read. On other cruises the have great selections.

I still have not gotten a bathing suit for myself. Hopefully in the next week. Good luck, I will be visiting Target soon if I see anything I will let you know.
Steph

Steph, I went and tried on a swimsuit yesterday at Nordstroms. The brand is Miraclesuit. I don't know if you've every heard of them but someone at the school recommended them to me. Their slogan is something like "look 10 pounds thinner in 10 seconds". They were really nice but super expensive! I didn't buy one yet but I think I might go back. I just really liked the way it seemed to smooth out all of the lumps and bumps from having kids. LOL I did also order myself 2 suits from Newport News. I'll only end up keeping one but I just want to see which one fits me better.

Totally unrelated but has anyone noticed that there seems to be some new little smilies? I'm wondering where it would be appropriate to use the dancing banana. LOL

I am not a big wine connoisseur, just a wine drinker and wine lover.
So, for me it would probably be fine.
We too are bringing some adult beverages on board.
Also, when we stop at the different ports, I plan on picking up some beverages. A while back, Mark gave some advice and I wrote it down...
re:buying adult beverages while in port.

Like the Miraclesuit myself, even if you are "pooh sized" as I am, it helps to hold things in place. Do not want a wardrobe malfunction!

I noticed the extra smilies too. The only family oriented thing I can think of with the banana is........ I can't wait to have a pina colada, and after a few of them I will feel like this

Well, I would then definitley like to do the wine fest with anyone willing to go. I know about the mircle suit...trust me I know LOL... I am also the "Pooh Size" more on the top though. (GOD took care of me!!! lol) I always have trouble with suits they fit the bottom, but never the top, even those separtates.

Also, forgot, whats the scoop on getting wine or beverages in port, that you mentioned, I heard they hold them until the last day on the ship. So what good is it.

What are the smilies? Is that something from your doc papers, which by the way have not arrived yet!!!

Steph, my understanding (and anyone PLEASE correct me if I am wrong), is that if you buy booze on the ship in the duty free shop, you can't drink it on the ship. But, if you buy it before the cruise and bring it on in your carryon or buy it at the ports of call we sail into, you can drink it onboard. Also read that you can not take any open bottles of alcohol (wine, beer, hard alcohol) off the ship at the end of the cruise. So on the last night of the cruise I may be really enjoying myself.
If this isn't correct, please inform me of the correct info.
Anne

 I just got my docs!!! I am just so excited!!

I heard the same thing but I thought the same rule applies for booze/alcohol from the ports as well as duty free shops on board.

My friend said she had left over vodka (clear) which she put in a water bottle and you can not tell the difference. So bring extra large empty bottles if you drink any clear alcohol.

Hopefully someone will clear it up for us.
Good idea about the water bottle ;)

Hi! Just found this site and I'm really enjoying it. We are going on our FIRST real cruise ever on the Magic 2-12-05. We are so excited, but I must admit I have no idea what to expect and how to be prepared. I have a thousand questions:
My daughter is just a few months shy of her 3rd birthday. Has anybody had a younger child attand the Oceanear Club? Disney said I need to check in with them on the boat to see if she can join in the fun, since they do it case by case.
What are the best excursions for a family with a toddler?
Anybody else bringing their toddler?
For those who have brought your child to Flounder's Nursery, how did you find it to be? Did your kids enjoy it?
What kind of special things do they do on Valentine's Day? I'm sure Palo(?) will be booked solid that night (as well as the nursery)!
There's many more questions, but I'll start with these. Thanks!! CAN"T WAIT TO SET SAIL!!!!!!!

LOL about God taking care of you Steph. He took care of me too but I paid a plastic surgeon to get rid of God's extra little gifts to me. Ok, so this is now two more testamonials about how great the Miraclesuit is. Maybe I'll have to just break down and buy one.

They only hold them on the ship if you buy them from the store on the ship. That way you can get the savings of buying it duty free but then you still hav to dish out money to Disney for drinks on the ship! LOL If you buy somewhere else like on Grand Cayman, you can bring it back on and enjoy it. In our docs yesterday it says that each adult can only bring back 1 liter from the Western cruise. On the eastern you can bring back 6 liters!

Welcome to the list umber! Sorry I can't help you with any of your questions about traveling with a toddler but I'm sure if you ask on the main board, someone will be able to help you.

Also I'm not sure if they do anything special for Valentine's Day but I sure hope so!

Mail came NO Docs!!!!!!!!!!!! :sad1:

They will usually come UPS. I suppose they do that so they have a tracking number on them. Don't fret though. I'm sure you'll have them any day now. Did you book through DCL or a TA?
