I believe I've read more than once the the kids area on Castaway Cay has beach pails, shovels, etc. that you can borrow for free if you'd prefer not to take up room in your suit case.

Just recieved an update in regards to Pirate Party Night. It will be Wednesday Night, starting while we are in Cozumel. The Fireworks sound like they will be aewsome !!! Grand Caymen is a good place to look for Pirate (and Wench) Attire.......... Yo Ho Yo Ho.... A Pirates Life for me.........

It is even cold here in the South. I live near Atlanta and it's 29 now but supposed to get to 17...just way too cold for us GRITS (Girls Raised In The South). And why is it you all live in the Arctic???

Excellent...my 5th Disney cruise as well.

Hey, I'm thawed out enough to reply.
Why I live in the frozen tundra........family.
My family and (DH's) all live here and when we in other parts of the country (including AL and GA) we missed them terribly. So, for me the freezing weather is all worth it.

Hi Francisca, I liked the GRITS comment, my dad's family is from Tennessee..... Spent alot of summersin the south as a child......... Job is in the Artic.... Pays the Disney Bills...... Our goal is to get to the South ASAP !!!! Should be about another 7 years, and its Hello Warm Weather !!!

Oh, reread the post from Francisca and maybe you meant why we (from up north) are all on this cruise. My kids have a mid-winter break the week we cruise. I think it's a way to keep sane in the winter and make it through.

Another lurker here, but it looks like people are finally checking in!
I am a single women who will be traveling with my sister, BIL, DN 9 and DN 12. Also our mother and her significant other!
We have been planning this for over a year and are very excited. We told the girls on Thanksgiving, couldn't wait until Christmas, and we have all been counting down the days.
I will be coming from Arizona, and the rest of the family from Washington State. I almost hesitate to tell you about the weather here, as we have been quite warm, 70's, for the last week. But I know the rest of our group will be happy as, surprise, it has been raining in Seattle!
Elizabeth, I let my niece know that you are looking to chat with others your age, and hopefully she will be contacting you soon.

Hello to all the new people who have joined this area over the past few weeks. There are a lot of messages here to go over just to take it all in, and then to be able to post replies (and have it mean something - lol).

Having gone to the Bahamas last year, I am sure that my DW (Julia) and I will feel like we are right back there when we step into that warm tropical (fresh) air, but I will tell you this, I am pretty sure that it will definately be worth the wait, since we initially booked.

We are both so glad that this cruise was our agreed upon thing to do. Back in December when we were looking for some place to take the kids, we originally thought that going back to Nassau was a good idea. When we mulled over different ideas for a few days, it just kinda came to us, I suggested a cruise, and she put a spin on it and came up with the idea - A Disney Cruise. Ever since we first booked, we have become more and more convinced with each passing day that this was the right thing to do.

Welcome Monica, I will let DD Elizabeth know about your neice. She will be thrilled. That way, all of the teenagers can hang out, and let us old folks relaxe...... Talk about the good old days... Like the 80's LOL !!! This place is sarting to shape up as a Disney Cruise. Lots of New and Old Friends. can you feel the excitement ??? Ok, I will once I thaw out.......... Sheez its cold here. You all are right about the shopping. Went today, and although there were some spring cloths, just didn't seem to find anything that jumped out at me. Settled for some new shoes. But any excuse to shop is fine with me!!

Just checking in again. I'll be in Fla this week for business (Tue,Wed and Thr). Thought I would get out of this colder weather, but it looks like it's going to meet me there.
I hope to get over to the port on Thursday to get a glimps of the Wonder. Any idea on what time she pulls in?
Hope all you folks up north can keep warm for a few more weeks.

If I remember correctly the ships get in around 6 AM and leave at 5 PM.

Jen have you started the list yet? I don't know my room number yet but my son, 14 and I will be there for the Dis Meet. Are there any 14 yr old boys/girls?

I heard from my travel agent that Disney is running really behind on getting paperwork out. I guess they'd have records at port if we don't get it in time. I've always gotten it before now (3 weeks to go).

My son and I were walking tonight...it's warmed up...and we were doing the 3 week dance!!!! We're wayyyyy beyond excited. I know all of you in the northern regions of our fine country are ready for some sun and Southern hospitality.

Hey guys!
Just heard today that the Norwalk Flu is travelling around the cruise ships this week. Just want to send out a little note here telling everyone to pump up on their vitamin C from now til then. Believe me, you dont want that to hit ya! Bathroom visits every five minutes out boths ends.....

Received two feet of snow up here in the Canadian North and temperatures are still sitting around the minus twenty mark. Even 70 degrees is sounding real nice!!!

Well back to laundry.....
