Jen have you started the list yet? I don't know my room number yet but my son, 14 and I will be there for the Dis Meet. Are there any 14 yr old boys/girls?

I heard from my travel agent that Disney is running really behind on getting paperwork out. I guess they'd have records at port if we don't get it in time. I've always gotten it before now (3 weeks to go).

Francisca, I have started a list for brunch for anyone that wants to go. I don't think I'm going to worry about starting one for the meet though because I don't want people to feel pressured to show up. Once you get your room number, I'll gladly add you to the brunch list though!

And I don't understand why Disney is behind on getting out some docs and not others. I know someone else that will be on this cruise and she got her docs on Saturday.

Hey guys!
Just heard today that the Norwalk Flu is travelling around the cruise ships this week. Just want to send out a little note here telling everyone to pump up on their vitamin C from now til then. Believe me, you dont want that to hit ya! Bathroom visits every five minutes out boths ends.....

I think the most important thing to do while on the cruise is just to make sure you wash your hands often and very good. I get so crabby when I see people just doing the quick swish under running water. If you're just going to do that, why bother at all???

I am thinking of picking up a product called Airbourne that I've read about on the boards. Supposedly if you take it while you're in a higher risk for getting sick situation, it's suppose to help block some stuff. It was developed by a teacher. So I was thinking I'd take it before getting on the plane and possibly a few times on the ship. Last year Beth caught a cold in the club because there were all kinds of people bringing their sick kids. DH even heard one mom tell her sneezing, coughing snotty nose kid that he's better stop coughing like that or they wouldn't let him in the club?!?!? Why on earth would you put so many other kids at risk on purpose like that? Because of people like that, Beth missed 2 whole days of fun because she felt so bad.

Mark, I used to think you were a pretty nice guy until you had to go and rub it in that you're going to be somewhere warm! LOL And I'm starting to feel a little human again. I just have a cold but since I so rarely ever get sick, when I do, it's always really bad. I would almost rather get sick more often and have it be less severe. Oh well, at least since I have this now, hopefully I'll be OK for the cruise.

Hope you're feeling better. I had it 1st of year. Still got sinsus issues but shld be ok. DD still compaining about tummy. She not back to her normal eating.
The idea of someone getting sick just before or on board is one of my fears. I too heard of that airborn & think it might be worth try. We all take multis plus adl zinc & c. I keep stressing to both dd washing & washing 4 real.

The document thing has me puzzled, I must say my TA sort of blew me off, not real happy with her. Next time I will use someone else.

The packing thing is weighting on my mind. Any words of wisdom would be welcome. I seem to alway over pack. If dh rents tux, does he realy need a jacket? Are slacks or skirts better for not formal dinners?

Ya know, I was so organized last year but this year I have barely started packing. If DH is getting a tux, I don't think he needs a jacket. Unless of course he wants it for Palo. But even then, I think he would be OK with just a shirt and tie there for dinner. And for the "resort casual" dinners last year, I had I think only 1 skirt but I brought a bunch of capris. I guess I felt like I was out of the cold weather and there was no way I was wearing pants on vacation! And this year I'm bringing WAY less clothing for all of us. Last year I would say we didn't wear half of what we packed. I've been told to pack your clothes, take out half and you'll still have to much. LOL

I too overpack. I know everyone says pack 1/2 the clothes and twice the $, just can't get the hang of packing light.

Anyone been to the Key West Winery? Aquarium in Key West? Butterfly Conservatory?
Heard that the Pat Croce Pirate Soul Museum just opened this month in Key West. Anyone else heard this?

Had thought about staying on the ship in Key West, but after learning that the Magic couldn't tender at Grand Cayman or dock at CC recently......... thought we may want to get off in Key West and check it out.
Any suggestions?

Yes we booked directly with DCL. But I know the other person I know that got theirs was through a TA so I would guess that means that they should all be on their way soon.

We do have JCPeenney's here but the problem I've had is that Kaela is just making the switch from girls to juniors. I did get her one pair of shorts from Penney's but I'd be willing to bet they won't fit her this coming summer.

Kaela asked if she could could maybe e-mail Shannon before the cruise.

I would also be interested in the winery at Key West do you know about it or were it is there? Also, why can they not tender into Grand Cayman?

If you have a Target they are just starting to get there summer stuff in and there clothes are not that expensive.

JenGang, it's so exciting that you got your docs!! If you still need shorts for DD, have you tried landsend or llbean sales? I ordered some shorts for my DD(10) about 2 weeks ago from their overstock(sale) catalog and they ship fast too! Just a thought!

I sure hope it warms up. It was only 46 degrees here yesterday morning. I know that sounds good for you northerners but that is downright cold down here for us! brrrrrr

Steph, I have been checking out Target weekly but so far all I've found there is skirts or dresses. I'm just having a hard time understanding why I can find mini skirts, sun dresses, swimsuits and tons of sandals but there are no shorts to be found!

Thank you everyone for all your ideas on where to find shorts for Kaela. I'll be busy the next couple days trying to check everything out. All I really need to find for her is one or two more pairs.

Not sure how often they can't tender or dock at ports. I think it is usually due to rough seas. Always a possibility on a cruise, I suppose. Not saying this will happen to us. Just want to prepare myself (and family) in case it does happen.

I'll see what I can find out about the winery.

Jen, I think in the next week or so you may be able to find stuff. I got skorts, I know its not shorts, but I think that they will be in b4 we leave it maybe last minute but if your like me ...........last minute person...

I still have not gotten a bathing suit for myself. Hopefully in the next week. My bathing suits were lost in my luggage by Continental, yes Continental. My biggest fear again traveling is my luggage lost. This was over July 4th weekend. NEVER FOUND!! I was there for a wedding. My suggestion is to pack your stuff in different suitcases!!! Good luck, I will be visiting Target soon if I see anything I will let you know.

Speaking of wines, anyone going to the wine tasting on board?

Steph, that is one of my fears. While I enjoy shopping, racing around just before the cruise to replace lost clothes doesn't sound like fun to me.
Ugh, and to lose your bathing suit...I will pack one of mine in my carry on.
