Just found what seems like an excellent site written by a local for Cozumel:
http://www.cozumelmycozumel.com/Pages/CozumelCruises.htm Haven't been all through it yet but it seems pretty interesting and recommends certain excursions and shopping areas. Someone on another board recommended the site and said they had used the info and were very happy.

That is a great website, full of interesting things to do and ways to survive our day in port. Thanks for sharing!

Laura

We will not be the old folks at the adult pool, thanks for signing on. We have been on the 2nd deck many time. We liked it because dinner is on deck three a short one flight up.

:welcome: Glad you could join us! One of our best friends (couple) live in Grand Junction. We tried hard to get them on this cruise with us, but they just couldn't swing the timing. We're hoping next time (Tim's onboard but we're having trouble convincing Maria she would like a cruise--can you believe that????:confused3 )

I asked Vicki and she can not think of any of our friends that are a Tim and Maria. We have been together for 20 years here in Grand Junction. We live on East Orchard Mesa. Only 3 weeks. Woody

OMG I woke up this morning and my glass of water was in fron of my alarm clock. I thought it was 5:30 so I got up, emptied the dishwasher, made coffee and logged in here. The clock in the bottom corner says 2:30. aaww mann. :faint:

LOL:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Boy can I relate . . . DH set his alarm for 5:00, but didn't get up until 7:45 . . . alarm went off every 10 min . . . I am involved in a system upgrade tonight so I have been up essentially since 5:00 this morning . . . :) it is now 2:16 and we still have about 2 more hours to go . . . . where is my coffee . . .

Hi , We are booked with Ya'll . I just found this site and thread and spent 2 hours reading all of it. We are Woody and Vicki from Colorado. This is our first DCL cruise but our 25th or so total. We are down with the crew in room # 2511 which is close to Scot's sister I think. I am sure there is no chance for an up grade as it is our first cruise with DCL. We are leaving LAS on a red eye at midnight and arriving in MCO about 8:00 on Sat. and will take the DCL bus to the port as soon as we can. I booked this cruise as we wanted to try DCL and it is Vicki's birthday on the 15th.(1955) We have been to every port several times and have gone with Sotos before which was very good. We will probably not book anything on shore. We would like to join the party before sail away. We have late seating. This sounds like a fun group and i enjoyed reading all the post.

 hello

wow - I never thought of you guys on the west coast - losing a nights sleep. Now I see why there are so many happy about the California cruises.

See you in THREE weeks!!:cool1:

I guess we won't be hearing from hinsok1 this weekend. :tiptoe:
Good luck with the upgrade!

Three weeks, Three weeks, Three weeks!!!

Just think - three weeks ago it was New years Eve!! (I always do this when I am counting something down - my best friend thinks I'm nuts - but I think it's a great way to measure time!!) :hourglass

Guess what!? I went to the gym TWICE yesterday!! (Like that is gonna help :rolleyes1 ) I went for my regular circuit in the a/m and then went to a class at night - a hip hop thing!! OMG it was too funny - I don't know how the instructor keeps a straight face!! And don't know how much of a workout I got - standing there doing the shuffle while the class choreographed themselves around me. hee hee. I thought it was the new class but turns out that is NEXT week - this one was the last class!! You know - when everyone has perfected the moves..

:rotfl:

I have to admit though - it's nice to be at an age (state of mind) where I can go and do this, make an a$$ of myself and laugh about it!! But, alas, for all my efforts, the scale ain't budging. ARGH. :upsidedow

I don't want to be anything but a Mouseketeer! :mickeyjum

OK, I know this dates me, but.... My mom says when I was two and would hear the music for the Mickey Mouse club on TV, I would come bounching down the stairs on my bum (thank goodness for diapers!) and stand in front of the TV dancing away. Then I'd come back for the song at the end. I always wanted to be a Mouseketeer and now I am!

We have snow on the ground and the high temp. for the last couple of weeks has been below freezing. Vicki and i are ready for the cruise. OOOOO well. Woody

I can visulaize that! lol

I think we have been spoiled this year because this new cold weather is almost unbearable!! I think I may change my countdown to the 9th for the extra day.

Hinsok1 - Did you make a decision yet for Cozumel? I was having some 2nd thoughts re the dune buggies but did an advanced search on this board and got a lot of positive reviews for Cozumelhomes so I feel better now. However, a few said the snorkel stop of the ride was the pits - and I know the snorkeling is important to your family. I think you mentioned DS was 6. The Fury excursion was for ages 6 and up and got a whopping rating of 10 in the passporter vs a 7 for the Jeep excursion. (There was no entry for the dune buggies)

:rotfl2: I've been doing that all along!:rotfl2: Hey, I figure we're leaving that day, vacation actually starts the day you leave home, doesn't it????

I'm not sure what part of GJ they live in, but their street name is Americana Drive. I know Tim's family has lived there for ages, but Tim and Maria lived in Denver for a while and have only been in GJ for about 12-15 years. Maria has a massage therapy practice in town.

Here I was worrying about door signs, excursions, and dining assignments and never gave a thought to Hepatitis shots! I just read on the general DCL board that they are recommended. Great. Better safe than sorry I guess. Well, after much consideration I have finally picked an excursion for Cozumel. I'm going with Mystic Snorkeling tour. A little more expensive then the others but it sounds like she goes to some beautiful spots away from the crowds and tries to maintain a more personal experience. Anyone wants to join us just let me know. The operator sent me a long introduction and information so if anyone would like to see it just let me know and I will PM it because it is so long. Our group is going to each do their own thing that day since it is Valentines Day and some of the couples want to do the private beach thing. I read on one of the posts that DCL had previously changed Pirate Night so that formal night is Valentines. I don't know if that is going to be such a good thing after all day in Cozumel.

Is anyone else considering rebooking onboard? My BF and I were talking about what in the world we were going to have to look forward to after this cruise.
