February 10, 2007 7-Day Western Who's coming?

Is anyone else considering rebooking onboard? My BF and I were talking about what in the world we were going to have to look forward to after this cruise.

The eastbound repo cruise looks inviting... but I know that's a long shot and I wouldn't dare mention it to DH - He already thinks I have vacation on the brain.. if I started talking of another vacation b4 this one I'd never hear the end of it. ;)

Here I was worrying about door signs, excursions, and dining assignments and never gave a thought to Hepatitis shots! I just read on the general DCL board that they are recommended. Great. .

Yes. I learned that here too. We (me and ds's) ended up getting the Twinrix. We'll have two of the three shots by cruise time. DH is a firefighter so he's already covered.

Finally decided to book the Dolphin discovery. DS and DD will be so excited :yay: . We will not tell them until the last minute. I plan to surprise them the morning of Valentine's day just before we leave for the excursion. The've been asking for Dolphin discovery since they know we're going back on the Western. Last April we did the stingrays and they absolutely loved the experience (even though they were a little scared at first :rolleyes1 ).

I'm a little bit worried about the possibility of having Formal night on that night since we will be back onboard around 5:00. It's going to take a lot more time to get ready for Formal night than for Pirate night  I hope they don't make the change. Does anybody know when we would be informed  ?

:cheer2: Hi, this is quite new to me but we have a DD (7) who would love e-mail. This is our first Disney cruise. We are Traveling with 3 generations and very excited! Also have 2 other DDs (5 & 2 1/2). Does anyone have info on a current link to have a postcard sent to my girlies before we begin this magical adventure? The anticapation is killing them--and me! I've not had luck with the ones I've found.

Bear with me --this is my first message board ever!

Hi Everyone

I'm still here, I had some problems with my password and couldn't post for a very long time. I've got it fixed now!!!!:goodvibes . My DH and I will be coming woth our DD(3) and we can't wait!!!!! I've ordered a basket for her from Shirley and she even sent my DD a postcard from Tink. It was Magical!! You would've thought I gave her back her pacifier. She could not believe TInkerbell sent her a postcard. Thank youShirley!!!!! Shirley was great too, she customized a basket fro my DD with all her favorite things...food, swim goggle.etc...I can't wait to see it. I've started packing, got the pillowcase and sharpies. These boards are so awesome. I'm so glad I can post again:banana: It was hard to just sit and read and not be able to "talk" to everyone. I would love to meet all of you, is there a DIS meet? I'd love for my DD to meet some "friends". Sorry this is a long post, I'm just so happy to be back!:woohoo:

Welcome tanack! :welcome: Welcome back Mats'Mom!

Yankeegal was kind enough to make a list of Disers on this cruise with our names, members of our parties, and stateroom numbers. Would you like to add yours? Is there anyone else who's info is not on the list that would like to add it? Or update it?!!! We've had lots of magical upgrades in this group. It's going to be a magical cruise!!

Here's the link to the postcard thread. Verandah man sent my mom a card from Cap'n Jack--she got a kick out of it. He also sent one to my son from Stitch--who also really enjoyed it.

We're in the teens now guys!!!! Except of course Joksten--they're even closer!!:cool1: party::cool1:

I couldn't agree more. I was looking forward to formal night in Lumiere's (if we get the dining rotation we requested). We were lucky enough to get Palo reservations for Valentine's Day and I don't want to spend formal night in Palo (not that that's bad, but...:rotfl2: )

I did a search and never saw any mention of switching formal night to Valentine's Day. But that doesn't mean much. Half the time I search for a thread I just read a few days ago it doesn't show up in the search results!!:confused3 I must be search-challenged.:rotfl:

All I saw was that there was a red and white balloon arch in front of Lumiere's, lots of decorated cakes, Valentine's chocolates, a family dance, a sweetheart's dance, and love songs playing in sessions.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see and be surprised. A bit of a challenged for those of us who are über-planners!!!:lmao:

From a cat 8 to a cat 6 and had to turn it down. They didn't realize we were on a B2B. Don't want to be packing and unpacking. Ah well :confused3 :sad2

Well, looks like you guys will just have to tell me how my sister is. I am not impressed at all with the way Disney Cruise runs its operation or treats its Cast.

They have said all along that we can get this cast rate, then they wait until there is nothing left to purchase on your own that is less than a small fortune to tell you that they dont think they will be able to get you a cabin...maybe they can..maybe they cant, but you have to wait until day of departure to find out.

I have always wanted to take the cruise, was more excited with my sis on board...totally unimpressed now. So, unless I win the lotto...have a nice cruise.

I am SOOO sorry to hear that. But good luck with the lotto!

thanks for the welcome Ocean Breeze!
I'd be happy to add to the list!
We are in Cabins #6043, 6044 and 6045. My Parents are treating us to a family vacation of a lifetime! Our group consists of myself, the hubby and our 3 DDs (7, 5 and almost 3) and my brother and his girlfriend....And yes, I have suggested this is aperfect opportunity for him to "POP" the question! Valentines day and Disney---what more could a girl ask for!!!:rotfl: He doesn't think I'm nearly as funny as I think I am!!!:confused3
Anyways! We've been looking forward to this for over a year---the days are flying by--yet we can't get there fast enough!!! I've really enjoyed reading all the great tips --can't tell you how much it has helped!

Welcome aboard! What city and state and I will add you to the list?

Scott, I am so sorry to hear that. It must be such a strain on your family emotionally. That really makes no sense to me because DCL is upgrading people like crazy on our cruise to try to sell the cheaper rooms. It is for sure a no go? I feel so badly for your sister.

I can't remember where I saw it but it sure stood out. I have things planned out and then here comes the monkey wrench. We have already decided that if it happens we will do our formal night on semi-formal night. There is just no way we can get ready with having first seating for dinner. That and the fact that Cozumel is basically one long bar with free Tequilla shots every few steps. I'm sure the guys would look really attractive in our formal shots after a few hours in Cozumel. No stress here.:rolleyes1 :scared1:

Hi Deebs we will be on the same cruise and I have 3 dds- My middle one is 5 as well--would you be interested in having them exchange a couple of e-mails before we leave?
