Feb 4 Is Approaching -- Help Me!

On day 9 we are moving from a 2br at BWV to a 1BR for 4 additional days. SHould we:

  • continue on at BWV and hope that if we have to switch rooms, it's a short trip or an even better roo

  • Try for SSR -- it's new and would be a great change of pace!

  • OTHER (Try BCV or OKW or VWL, etc )

Still in a quandry -- HELP!

After 1 night at BCV, we will spend 8 nts at BWV in a 2br std view. After THAT, we lose our "guests" and have ressies to move to a 1 BR std view at BWV for 4 more days. It is conceivable that we could have to move to a different room at BWV. (There is a chance they could keep us in the 1 br portion of our 2br, but it's not guaranteed).

We will spend the last 4 days of our trip at Epcot (one day), DQ (one day) and the remainder bee-bopping around DTD and pool, pool/resort hopping, etc. (We love DTD!)

SOOOOO.... do we "stay" with our 1BR arrangements in BWV and hope whatever move may come, it's minor or an improvement ;)

OR...

Do we try for a 1BR at SSR? (Giving us closer proximity to DTD, a change of pace and pool, and closer car).

HELP!

If it was me, I would stay at the same resort. I have traveled many times with guests, and I always need a good relaxing break after they leave! Moving resorts at that time would seem like "work" to me, even though Disney makes it super simple.

Personally, I hate to move while I'm on vacation. If it's likely that you'll need to move anyway because your needs are changing (guests leaving) I'd switch resorts. I figure if I'm packing all my junk anyway why not check out someplace I've never been? If I stayed at the same resort I'd feel like all the work was for nothing.

Just my 2 cents...

Ah yes, but they MIGHT be able to stay in the 1 bedroom portion without moving if they stay at the same resort. Especially if they stress that point when they check in.

I'd stick with the BWV if you have a car. That makes the DTD easy to get to from BWV. If no car, I'd consider the SSR move.

But I agree with Diane...in general, I hate to move on vacation, and there's at least a chance you wouldn't have to at BWV.

After 9 nights it might be fun to move to a new resort and explore some new things. I say move to wherever you really want to go.

#1 SSR is not open until May
#2 You will most likely get to stay in the room if you are very specific and persistant at check in. They really do try and accomodate you but make sure you ask when your are checking in.

Forget SSR. As KEM330 mentioned, it doesn't open until May 17th, 2004. Even then it's only going to be 1 building open, with other buildings opening later.

Have you ever tried OKW? If not you might consider that for your 1-B/R unit. The OKW rooms are so much larger than the other resorts' rooms. Also, if you're interested in going to DD, from OKW you can take busses, take the water shuttle at Trumbo Ferry to DD, or take the walking path that goes from OKW (near building 55) to DD.

Sorry, KEM330 and CASKBILL, guesss I wasn't very clear -- I'm not TRAVELING on Feb 4th... I would be RESERVING! (I only WISH I were traveling right now! Ohhhh HOW I wish!) Our trip (as noted in trip counter) is in August. But if I want to try for SSR, the first date I can try is Feb 4th.

Sorry for the confusion! (So does any of this change your vote?)
ANd BTW -- we have indeed tried OKW, and we do love it, but kids really want a slide in the pool, and OKW isn't there YET... and it seems like it's a toss-up as to when they will have one in place.

THANKS FOR EVERYONE's INPUT... KEEP IT COMING -- I'M STILL TORN! Part of me hopes that if I do call on Feb 4 to make a switch to SSR, it's all full! Then it will be case closed -- stick with BWV!

Why not switch to BCV if possible - get the full benefit of the same central type location and SAB as well to boot

thanks
