Feb 28, 2010 - 4 night Wonder Cruise

We are getting so close gang! DS is watching our home videos from our first cruise and it is getting me so excited. The fact that it is -15C out today helps too.

Brrrrr that's cold :scared1:

We watched our videos last weekend as well. I wasn't planning to taking the video camera along this trip, but now I'm unsure of what to do :confused3 We didn't tape our cruise in May, so I'm thinking we will for this one. I wanted to buy a new digitial video recorder, but its not in the finances right now.

We're "iced" in -- a couple of inches of snow covered with ice. Good day to finish printing out our paperwork. Our last passport (mine) arrived yesterday, so I can update our paperwork with the Passport #'s, print hotel reservations for the trip down, etc.

Can't wait!!!

Diane

Sounds nasty - I don't mind the snow, but ice is terrrible. Sounds like a great day to stay home. Hope your weather clears up soon!!

Tammy

I booked our airline tickets yesterday! :hippie::yay:

I also ordered the DCL DVD. It should arrive in approximately 4 to 6 weeks. :lmao:

Hopefully the DVD will come before you leave  We have the old version, I should have ordered the new one.

As I sit here, I keep thinking 4 weeks from now I will be in the Magic Kingdom :cool1::cool1:

I finished the girls pillowcases today - they are so cute! I can't wait to see them once the characters sign them. I still can't figure out how to post pictures :confused3

Hope everyone is keeping warm - its only in the teens here today. We are going ice skating tonight (inside), wish me luck - haven't skated in years.

Tammy

ok I'm going to test to see if I can post a picture of my FE - hope it works.

oh my, it worked, but its so BIG

Tammy

I love your Fe! We also got polka dot material for our pockets, but ours are red/white and blue/white polka dots. I was so glad when I finally got mine done.

It's cold here in Chicago too (teens), but we're headed for a heat wave and should be up to the 30s by Monday. :cool1:

:cool1: Yea Tammy! I am glad you got it posted! You really did such a nice job of it.

Okay, who sent their relatives down to Florida? It always seems to cool off when my relatives come for a visit. None of them are here now (I hope:rotfl2:) and a cold front came through last night.

:hug:I do feel really bad for everyone that is snowed/iced in/ below freezing. I absoslutely hate the cold. That is why DH and I moved down here from Michigan 15 years ago. I just couldn't take it anymore.

Let's see! Let's see the pillowcases! We all know you can post pics now so don't keep us in suspense!

Have fun skating. DD6 talked me into taking lessons with her for a session. I figured why not since I had to be there anyway. I have to admit it was a lot of fun.:rotfl:

VERY cute Tammy!!! I might have to make some pillow cases as well. HMMMM.......:woohoo:

Arrggghhhh...once again in life, my indecision is costing me!:headache::rolleyes:
I have family near Cocoa, so I never book a hotel near the Port. But this year I am driving down 12+ hours with the kids w/o DH's able assistance, and I just don't want to add the extra hour drive to the inlaw's. Figured I'd get up in the middle of the night in VA, drive thru and check in to a port hotel around 3 or 4 and sleep away the afternoon.

Alas, I waited and hemmed and hawed and missed all chances at a Priceline opportunity (I've tried. and tried. boo hoo) and now all the Radisson prices are higher than they were.

Tough reality for a seasoned tight wad, er, budget concious bargain hunter, like me!:rolleyes1

I better make a decision today, cough up the $$, before I either gotta hoof it the extra hour for a free room, or end up with a $$$$ Presidential Suite!

Thanks for letting me vent!!!! Can't wait for the cruise! Got my shirt designs; gotta make our family shirts and magnets!:woohoo:

Are you sure that it is an hour out of the way to the Port? We are south of Cocoa and it usually doesn't take us more than 20 minutes to the Port.

Hi Angie,
Yes, I've done it a few times from MIL's in Viera, it's about 45 min; my mom is wintering in Barefoot Bay, she said she's an hour from the Port. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I think I will be 'drived out' by the time I get there.

I think I am just mad at myself for waiting so long that the prices went up - my fault!:rolleyes1

It's a small world. I live in Viera too. If it is taking you 45 minutes to get to the Port from here, she is giving you really bad directions.:rotfl: We drive over to Jetty Park about once a month to beach and/or fish and it has never taken that long. Barefoot Bay on the other hand might take you about an hour. It is 30 to 40 minutes south of here.

I know what you mean being drived out. We drive up to Michigan once or twice a year and driving that far is not fun. Hopefully something will open up and you will be able to stay closer without the extra $$.

LOL; I wouldn't doubt that...wouldn't be the first time...:rolleyes1

Very nice pillow cases Tammy! Did you use the iron on transfer paper for light colors?

Thanks Angie - I actually used transfers for Dark colors - the transfers are from a DISer on the design thread - they work wonderful, much better than anything that I bought locally.

I'm jealous you live so close to the port - it would be wonderful to be so close.:)

Oh that's a bummer - did you check any of the other hotels in the area? Could you stop some place before getting to Port Canaveral - it might be cheaper and then you could just drive the remaining distance in the morning?

Good luck - hope you find something in your budget range!!
