Feb 28, 2010 - 4 night Wonder Cruise

I am new to the dis boards and just discovered the fish extender!! We are also going to be on the Feb. 28th cruise...Is it too late to be included? My girls would love exchanging gifts with other families..Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.. This is our first Disney Cruise!!
Thanks, Melissa

Does anyone know if there is a dress up night one of the nights on this cruise?

I have read that it is cruise casual for all nights but then other places see one of the nights called dress up night.

Hi:) There is a Dress up night , it's the second night on the 4night cruises. I bought a nice dress at macys a couple weeks ago and finally found heels to go with. I'll be towering over my DH , I'm already 6ft so with heels I'm like a giraffe:rotfl2: I also planned on dressing up for dinner at Tritons since it's the nicer restaurant of the 3.

:welcome: Welcome Beauty Fan (sis) and Newfie Girl!!!!:yay::cheer2::banana:

Welcome to the Dis!:cool1:

I know you will both LOVE your Disney cruise - I think the first time is soooo extra special, because it is all so new to experience!!!:cloud9:

Sorry Newfie, I'm not involved in fish extenders this time, but I'm sure there's folks here who can get u up to speed.

Happy Planning, y'all! What is it...5 weeks from today??? Woo Hoo!!!:woohoo:

Melissa,

Welcome to the thread - glad to have you join us. Its not too late to join the FE exchange - please email me at dthogue5@verizon.net with the names of the adults in your party and the names and ages of the kids - I also need your cabin number. Once I receive that information, I will update our participation list and send you a copy.

Working on my signature next, but really wanted to post to this thread. :cheer2: Cruising with DH & DD(3) as well as mom, sis, and 3 nephews. Sis made lifelong friends on one of her first cruises who will also be on board.

Hi BreakingD awn. My mom is also 5'12" and will be on this cruise, so you are not alone :)

Wow Tammy, your FE turned out AWESOME! How long did it take you to make it?

We got our docs Friday!:thumbsup2 We're a Catagory 2 inside cabin, 2641. We booked with our DVC points and have never gotten an upgrade doing that.

I hope yhe five weeks go fast. It's a little warmer uphere and the snow is melting but it's still winter.

For you NFL fans out there, I'm pulling for the Colts and Saints today! Let the footbal mayhem begin!!!:happytv:

:laundy: Since everyone was home this morning, we went through the closets and got together our dinner clothes for the 4 nights. I got lucky - I don't have to go out and buy anything  The only thing I need to do is have Brenna's dress up night dress taken in - she's wearing one of her sister's old dresses and its a tad too big in the top. Kaitlyn is wearing her dress from homecoming. Everyone has shoes to go with their outfits as well - so no shopping for me

How's everyone else doing - anyone start packing????

Gary - We are freezing here too! We have had 38 inches of snow since Dec.8th and most of it is still on the ground. The high today is 20 something and that is the highest it has been in a while.

Tammy - For dinner each night I plan on wearing a skirt but I am stuck on what to wear for the dress up night. How dressed up are you all (or anyone here) getting? A skirt? A dress with sandals? A dress with high heels? a cocktail dress?

Are your husbands wearing jackets? Mine plans on it.

Corey -

 yuck that's too much snow! We had a cold snap earlier in the month, but's its been in the 40/50's these past few days. I'm afraid we are going to pay eventually for the warmer sooner or later ;)

I am wearing capris for 3 of the 4 nights and black dress pants with sandals for dress up night. Khaki's and polos for DH, with long sleeve dress shirt, tie and slacks for dress up - no suit jacket for him. The girls have dressy dresses for dres up and skirts/capris for the other nights. We are keeping it simple.

I'm confused... Is Pirate's Night the "dress up" night that everyone is talking about? Do we not dress up like pirates??:confused3. We were planning on wearing summer dress or skirts to dinner every night except pirates night. Please let me know if I'm going down the wrong track!!

From what I can tell, the following was the suggested attire from the 4-night cruises in January 2010:
Sunday - Cruise Casual
Monday - Dress up night
Tuesday - Cruise Casual - this is also pirate: night
Wednesday - Cruise Casual

It seems they were on a different schedule on the 12/13/09 4-night cruise :confused3:confused3:confused3

Wow! Everyone seems so organized! I have only thought about what to pack and my FEs are going slowly.

My brother is getting married in Puerto Rico on March 6 so we get to have an extended vacation! Now I just have to figure out if we should spend some time after the cruise at Disney World or relax on the beach.:confused3

I don't know how to post pics either. It is amazing that you were able to make that is about an hour. I can see it taking me half a day!

You should be fine. We won't dress up for Pirate night- except for maybe eye patches and bandannas. I have a cocktail dress for one night and will wear capri's for the other nights (stay at home mom so I have very little dress up). The girls will probably wear a dress every night. Some are summery and some are dress up. They love dresses and it is always easier to pick something out for them than it is for me.:thumbsup2

According to the Dec 13, 2009 Navigators that I just printed - the suggested dining attire for the 4-night is as follows:
Sunday - Cruise Casual
Monday - Cruise Casual
Tuesday - Cruise Casual - this is also pirate: night
Wednesday -Optional Dress up

This is a change from what I had read previously!

You are not the only one that has not done much yet. I still need to go shopping for some clothes and I haven't even started my FE's yet. Time is just flying by.

Congrats to your brother. I am sure you can't go wrong with either WDW or the beach:goodvibes
