I've looked and looked and can't find anything about the week after Presidents week. What should the crowds be like then? I know the 15th through the 22nd will probably be packed but will it die down a little? Thanks in advance.

There is no Feb 29 in 2003; 2004, yes. Maybe that's why you can't find anything.

Sorry, I didn't realize I had to put a year on. Thanks Deb and Bill for the least informative reply I have read on this entire forum.

Just offering some information on a vague question.

I too, had asked this question a while ago. The responses were positive. Not too crowded and weather getting warmer. It will definitely die down after Pres week.

I have been following posts for the last 8 months (we are
also checking in on the 22nd) and most of them seem to indicate
that the crowds will be low (I hope so). Most advice seems to
indicate that they get low for the week after Presidents Day and then start picking up the second week of March as the Spring Breaks starts.

We will be going on Feb 20 to Mar 2. I have also been watching the various posts and I concur with chach. It appears that the it will not be to crowded. It is also our first time going during this time. I picked it because it is after Present's weekend, and Daytona AND is before Mardi Gra week - Fat Tuesday is March 4 this year.

We will be there from 2/23-3/1. We have been this MANY times. Crowds aren't bad. Most rides show a 15-30 wait but it's never that long. We walk on most and the wait is usually at TT. weather can be anything. Last year was cold. Year before was hot. Year before that was just right.

Mitch I agree with you on last year. it was warmer in NH than in FL that week. Lets hope it is 80 this year.

Mickbee,

I've been watching the weather and it looks like 60s almost 70s for highs and high 40s for lows. I hope it warms up from the early forecasts.

ANother one from NH going that week. I think we'll be in the majority! Great to hear about the crowds, I was wondering myself! When everyone posted their spring breaks, NH is the only state to have vacation that week!

Keeping my fingers crossed for warm weather. This weekend, Orlando will see temps in the mid 80's! Can you IMAGINE how that would feel after the winter we've had??? I hope it keeps up! :D

I kept thinking that we'd get "some kind of a thaw" by
now (doesn't look like it will happen) but the snow banks
in my driveway keep getting higher. I'm driving down and
I'm looking forward to watching as the snow slowing turns
into grass the further south I go.

This will be my first time going this time of year. I'm glad to hear the crowds will be minimal. We usually go in Oct or Nov and it is wonderful then.

Actually, NH is not the only state to have that break, quite a few schools here in Mich. have that same week off.

I am interested in this time frame too as we plan to do it in '04. Hope all of you in '03 have a wonderful time. Please come back and report on crowds, resturants, resorts etc...

It's funny, I spoke with tom, my guide tonight. He said "Here in FL at 8:45 it is 68 degrees...". I quickly responded, "her in NH it is 8 degrees".

I think in the spring I am going to find a mammoth in my yard after the thaw... if there ever is one.
