So excited for my birthday trip!

My partner and I are going to DLR for my 39th birthday, arriving Feb. 10 and checking into the Castle Inn, then spending 3 days in the parks and driving back home to Vegas on the 14th (my actual b-day). Heck yeah, I'm going to wear a birthday button, too! Now I'm just debating between 3-day hoppers or non-hoppers.

I'm not getting my hopes up too much but it looks like the refurb for Soarin' has been delayed as it is not showing up on the Refurb list for the days we will there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is true as it is my favorite!

I just noticed Soarin is also no longer listed on the refurb list for our dates either! YIPPEEE!! I LOVE soarin! It's my fave in DCA! Thanks for reporting!!

So long story on this one. But I'm going to be in California from 2/20-4/27 we think. Possibly a little longer, possibly shorter. Were staying over at the Staybridge. As for why I am here for this long. I am having weight loss surgery. So I am not going to be at the parks every day but I am going to be around. So if you see me around say hi (scrounge around in the W&D 2013 thread for photos, admittedly old photos but still photos). So yeah I'm going to be triple posting since I'm here long term. Have an AP so it all works.

... and my mom got into a car accident on her way to work today, she's okay thankfully. but her poor ford edge isn't they say it'll take at least a month to fix because of the girl who ran into hers' insurance. they gave her a rental car but hopefully they're able to get her an suv or van before we leave because it's our ride there! and four adults in a compact car isn't going to work out too well on a seven hour drive lol

We are going Feb 3-7. Haven't told the kids! Getting excited and secretly packing bags in the basement.

How fun, this sounds exactly like us! We are going Feb 3-7 and our kids don't know yet either. We are going to surprise them the morning we head to the airport. We are secretly bags in the back bedroom.

We're going Mar 2-7th but most of those days I'll be by myself as hubby is going to a class during the day hours.

We were there last December for over a week and discovered we love Disneyland and DCA! Unfortunately I just checked out the refurbishment list and BTM is still down!!! Since we missed it in December we were hoping it would be up and running for this trip. It's supposed to be down until March 31. IASW is also closed for refurbishment as well as the railroad. Of course it's hard to be too sad....I'll be at Disney!

We are there the 19-25. First time for DH and three kids! Even first flight for DH and two of the kids..should be great! Kids have no idea. I hope most things are running and crowds aren't too bad. Rain is no biggie, we are from the Wet West Coast where it REALLY rains !
