Feb 2, 2015 Dream 4 night

Hi jepiner99! Welcome aboard! There are a few of us around here who can try to answer your questions, so post away! I know Dave is a DCL expert, for one. Unfortunately there aren't spots left in the Fish Extender for this cruise at this point. But feel free to ask anything and we'll try to help.:thumbsup2

I have just booked this cruise ... and wanted to say hi :wave2: Just me and My Guy for this quick trip.

I see the FE is closed ? It has been a few years with three kidz now in college, so maybe things have changed, but this is new to me. After lots of Disney cruises, many inaugural sailings and PC crossings, I have never seen this. Some FE groups I have been part of in the past have been 100+ cabins. I would appreciate learning why the FE is closed for this sailing and why there are so many small groups vs everyone sharing with everyone. Just curious as I have never seen this happen in all the years cruising Disney.

I will still be bringing some fun surprises and will be dropping them off to any FE I see. Guess I am "old skool". :) If anyone wants my room number, cool, but no in return surprises are expected ... just gonna spread some pixie dust wherever and whenever I can!! pixiedust:

Look forward to seeing everyone onboard!!

TADsMommy;
Regarding the FE, the feeling from those signing up early on is that they wanted something manageable, so we have groups of 12 cabins. I was also more recently hearing that people wanted their lists finalized so they could finish up their gifting plans. Closing the FE 3 weeks before also stems from my own (possibly selfish) need behind the scenes in organizing the FE...making sure everyone on the list is still onboard, ensuring details are complete and correct, answering questions, updating lists...this is my first effort at organizing this, and it is a very big job. I want everything to go as perfectly as possible for everyone so it remains fun. I also need to have time to pack, book shuttles, arrange last minute details personally. I hope this explains the reasoning for you. We do have a "pixie dust" list for those last minute cruisers who want to have some part of the FE but aren't on a list, so please let me know your details and I can get you on it.

Thanks for the update/info Sunseeker ... and thanks for organizing the fun!! I totally understand missing out becuz of late signup ... I just had never heard of splitting up into groups before. :confused3

I will PM my info to you and would love to be included in any opportunity to participate. :cheer2:

See you onboard!! :goodvibes

This will be our first Disney cruise and we're soo excited! It will be a surprise for our 2 daughters and Grandma will be joining us too. One of our daughters has Down syndrome and so we're thinking she may get too overwhelmed at times, but we'll see.

look forward to see everyone!!

To Everyone in the Fish Extender regarding gift delivery:
You may deliver your gifts any time or day you wish. If you find the Fish Extender full when you get there, please wait a little while and try again when it has been emptied in order to avoid piles of stuff on the floor in the hall :). Almost 3 weeks to go!

I would like to join the "pixie dust" list if possible. This is my 3rd Disney cruise. First time without the kids and thought I could live without the FE. But I can't:) Let me know who I need to contact. Thanks.

Hi we r cruising for the first time with our 5yr old would love to be added to the pixie dusty list, since the FE is closed.
So excited!!! Any tips would be appreciated. :flower3:

Hi all,

My dad and fiance just expressed interest in visiting Atlantis on the Nassau day, but only to go to the casino. Since it doesn't fit with any of the excursions, any suggestions on getting from the ship to Atlantis and back? Are cabs easily available and a good option? Is anyone else planning on doing this, so that we could possibly buddy up?

I would like to be on the Pixie List but I have not made enough posts on here in order to send you a pm with my information :-) Hoping you can send me one and then I can reply to you.

Thanks

So excited! Just scheduled this week! My fiancé and I have cruised previously and unfortunately he can't come. So going with my parents who love disney but have never cruised before. It will be me 29f, mom 59f, and dad 62m. Sure to be a different experience but I'm sure still awesome!

Well that was fun! It was awesome meeting some of you on board! We had a great time and really enjoyed all the awesome FE gifts! Our daughter made a few friends in the Edge but didn't get there contact info, if Kendra and Maddisons parents read this send me a PM :)
