Other then playing on the beach at Castaway Cay...what do you think is the best thing to do for toddlers...my youngest got sick after eating on the island and I'm thinking he was just too hot...can you just stay on the ship or am I missing activities off the ship that we just didn't explore?

Hi All - this is our first cruise (any cruise) - and I think we picked a good one! I am wondering about the best shoes to bring for the ship? Any ideas? I don't want to be slipping and sliding on the deck. Thanks in advance!!

Last year I bought little rubber shoes for the kids with holes in them...they were perfect since they were slip on and the kids could be comfy wearing them in the Oceaneers Club and what not and not have to worry about flip flops or anything...not sure where you live but I bought them at Old Navy and they are great! My husband and I just had regular flip flops and brought runners incase we decided to do anything a little more active!

Do a lot of people get dressed up in costume or theme clothes for Pirate Night? Just kids or adults too?

Last year was our first cruise but from what I remember, yes a lot of people dress up, but at dinner you get Mickeye Pirate bandana's too so you have atleast that! This year I had some left over loot bag items from my son's Disney Infinity Birthday Party so I held on to some eye patches and pirate tatoos and will bring them along but there are families who are dressed full out from head to toe!

Hello Everyone! Sorry, I was away from the Disboards this past week on holidays. Yes, the FE is still open. It is easiest if you pm me your details (first names, kids ages, cabin number, if anyone has allergies, any special occasion you're celebrating, any favourite characters, home state or province) and I'll add you to the list. We are working on filling up group 5 right now. Max of 12 cabins per group so it stays manageable. You gift the other cabins as a whole, or each person in the other cabins (hence the request for ages, etc.). I will be closing off the FE sign up in the next week (or sooner if group 5 fills up).
