My understanding is that there is only a 'Formal Night' on cruises that are 7 days or longer. I am pretty sure there will be a 'Semi-Formal' night though. If you go back a couple of pages in this thread I think there is a list of the different themes for each dining night during the cruise.

Maureen- it seems you are a veteran at this please help! This will be our first DCL and are very excited to do FE. Can you briefly tell me the protocol? Do I choose 1 family from spreadsheet or how does this work....? Sorry to sound so, goofy...lol

As I sit here barely able to see out my front window, with a temp of 3 and with wind chill feeling like -20 and several driving bans. I am counting down the days until sun, the beach and a relaxing vacation.

Ok so I am starting my list of packing things, WOO HOO!!! I know there is a pirates night and my daughter is super excited. Is there a captains night as well, need to see if my 17yr old needs to get some dress clothes. I am sure I will have other questions soon, thanks ahead

HI - Night 2 (Monday) is an optional dress-up night. Regular dinning rotation menu, but golden mickeys will be showing in Walt Disney Theatre and Deck 4, Forward. We usually go all out, but will be just men in suits and ladies in 'cocktail dresses'

Night 3 (tues) is pirates night - and pirate menu - you will be at what ever restaurant you were in on Night 2 - kids are decked out (parents haven't' decided just yet)

Not Maureen - but lots of ways:

1. One gift per stateroom
2. One gift per person per stateroom
3. One gift for each child and one gift for adults
4. One gift for kids and one for the adults

It is really up to the giver - but you should be giving a gift for each cabin on your FE list

Is "Cary" male or female? It could go either way, and with 3 adults in your cabin, I wanted to be sure.

I am glad to answer that: Cary is a female (me). It is myself, my husband ken and my daughter Allison (she is 24 so we listed her as an adult).

Can you believe we are cruising NEXT month! We are bummed, I missed the sign up for the Fish Extenders. Is there still time? We have 3 kids, 14, 12 and 6.

I am not in charge of the FE group list, but I wanted to let whoever is in charge know that I am OK with adding your family to the list. Our gifts are such that I can still be flexible at this point; not sure if it messes other people up or not?

Well, with one month to go, it looks like we won't be joining the fish extender group. It's not really my thing, and my wife has been so busy, she hasn't even had time to look at what it is.

With these threads - does anyone ever plan a DISMeet? Is there point where we say "Let's meet for a drink at X time and Y location?" Just wondering. Since we are traveling with friends, I don't know that we'll be spending much time hanging with other DISers, but it is always nice to meet some!

Hi Everyone -

I don't think anyone is officially in charge of the FE. I created the Document to help everyone out, but we can't participate because it is hush hush around here because we are trying to surprise my son with this cruise.

But here my suggestion (and what has been done in the past) - put your name on the list. But don't expected EVERYONE will be able to give you an FE present, but most will. Cut off dates are usually two to three weeks before departure.

If ordering it is always sometimes best to order a few extras for this situation plus others that might pop.

Those who are actually doing the FE should chime in. THOUGHTS????
