FE list for Alaska Cruise June 11, 2012 (6/11/2012)

I'm hoping to have our cabin assignment soon. It was a little weird getting our luggage tags with no cabin number. I'm hoping to get organized for the cruise this weekend; had to change the planned FE gifts a couple of times due to supply issues. Nothing like improvising! Looking forward to the cruise and meeting you all!

I am so glad that you all are planning on making it to the meet-up!! I can't wait for everything going on! Our FE gifts are about 90% completed, DH is putting the finishing touches on his part of them, my part of course is finished...LOL, but I need his half to put together with my half so I can pack them up and ship them to our hotel ahead of time Only 17 days until our cruise! Yay!!

Once everyone has a cabin number, will the final FE list be reposted? Or at least repost an updated final list? I know someone spent a lot of time creating this list and I am hoping they will be kind enough to repost.

With 11 days left till Seattle departure I am still scrambling!!! Wahhh!!

So I am going to be brave and send my FE gifts in a box through the Intercruises. Anyone else doing that also? Going to pack them up tonight and send them tomorrow. Just a warning - if they don't arrive or they get sent back, I am SO sorry! Please don't be mad if the Schindel's don't have a gift for you!

Now to decide UPS or Post office? Where do you find a packing list?

Hi everyone,

Wow wee!!

I finally got our cabin numbers! Amazingly, they assigned me to an accessible room! We have 2 cabins, but we'd probably be spending more time here since it is the bigger of the 2.

My cabin no is 6647.

Woohoo!! This is soooo exciting!!! Though is anyone as bad as me? I have not packed yet!! The stress of packing for a fam of 5 is taking away part of the joy of the holiday!

Got loads of work to clear before my unforgiving boss will let me go on hols. Will visit the thread again if I can sneak some time off work

I just logged in to check the boards once more before I finish packing. I think it's just better to pack at the last minute! Since I had our DD finish packing while I was out of town, I'll have to repack the luggage since I don't know what she put in there! See you in a few days!

I just got back and I wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful gifts!! I loved going back to my room and finding surprises in my FE. I hope everyone liked their pillowcases. I'm not to crafty and this is the first time I've ever made anything like this. Once again Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!

We got home last night and as incredible as it was, it's good to be home. I just wanted to say, thank you, thank you, thank you. All the gifts were great and we loved getting back to the room and finding all the gifts and goodies. They really helped keep the kids' "gimme gimmes" to a minimum. Even our stateroom host got into it and enjoyed seeing the gifts everyday too! The whole FE thing really added to the whole experience. Thank you ladies!!!

Thank you - we loved all the surprises! While this was not our first cruise (or my first FE), it was my daughter's first FE and she LOVED it! I can't believe the thoughtfulness and time you all put into these gifts. Thank you so much! We trust you had a wonderful cruise and hope to see some of you on our future cruises!

I hope everyone had a safe journey home. We too had a GREAT cruise! Thanks to all of you for making our first cruise so special for us! The kids LOVED finding all of the gifts every time we went back to our stateroom! AND we booked our next Disney Cruise while onboard!!!
We can't wait to join in on the FE fun again!!!

I wanted to thank everyone, too. It was so fun getting the surprises on the ship (the kids went nuts over it) and it was nice to meet you all. As much as I LOVED all the thoughtful gifts, one of my favorite parts was getting to know everyone a little before the cruise!

I, too, want to chime in and thank everyone for the awesome gifts! My husband and parents (who were traveling with us) were very sceptical about this whole FE thing, however by the second day of gifts they were getting into seeing what we got everyday (I think my parents were a little jealous that they didn't do it). They were just as giddy as my daughter and I were everyday. I do have to say also, that my husband kept saying - "do we need to buy more stuff?" when he saw what awesome stuff we were getting and the crap I feel like we gave out. So I apologize for getting everyone junk! You all are so creative and thoughtful. It was great to see my daughter race down the hall or open the door early in the morning to see what was awaiting us.

I am also happy to say that my gifts made it to the ship, since I shipped them to the pier. So if anyone needs to do it in the future, I am proof that it works.

Deanna, I have no idea what you are talking about! We really appreciated the survival kits. I pulled out my luggage tag immediately and put it on the travel backpack that I took with me on our excursions. That was me - little green backpack with a lime green (DIS color!) luggage tag!

CYLUVSDISNEY: the pillow case is a great memento of our trip!

Sorry I'm jsut getting to this now, but thank you so much for all of the wonderful, creative, and unique gifts.
We packed all of it in one suitcase as we got everything, because my kids were starting to make a mess everywhere.
So when we got home and unpacked all of our bags, it was like Christmas. We all sat in a circle in the living room and pulled each item out one by one "Oooh! This is for you. And this is for your brother. Oooh! This is for meeeeeeee!!!"

It was fun, thank you again, my DisFriends!!!

And P.S. Please note the "Do not eat" label on my jars. It's all made with commom kitchen spices and such, but sitting unrefrigerated, I can't guarantee what it would do to you if you ate it, LOL.
