FE list for Alaska Cruise June 11, 2012 (6/11/2012)

You are allowed to ship one box (no exceptions) directly to the ship. I just called and DCL does not have the Seattle address yet, but confirmed that we will be able to call back to get the address to ship one box. I ripped off the following instructions/restrictions from another post:

ONE box per stateroom, no exceptions.
• The package must have the guest full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.
• The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.
• NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC.. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.
• The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 lbs.

Address your package(s) to:
Disney Cruise Line Warehouse
Guest Name / Stateroom # (GTY, if you don't know what it is when you send the package)
Disney Address
Phone: #

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information: ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING
*Name
*Sail Date
*Ship
*Stateroom Number
*Packing slip that details contents of the package (for prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient)

Hi! Welcome aboard! You can either give FE gifts everyday of the cruise OR just once throughout the cruise. I have all my gifts packaged in gift bags with 4 things for each adult and 5 things for each child. We plan on delivering the packages one time towards the beginning of the cruise.

The men were hard so I went with survival type things - kleenex, gum, bandaids, etc.

The ladies are a lot easier!

OH NO, looks like everyone is gonna have lots of Kleenex and band-aids :confused3 I made little kits too :upsidedow

We would love to participate, I'm so glad that I found this board just about missed the cutoff date. Can't wait for June!!:yay::yay:

DISboard username: albctb
-- Cabin # (if you know it already) GTY Cabin will update when we receive
-- Family Last Name: BURDORF
-- First names of those participating, ages of kids in cabin and whether boys (B) or girls (G): MOM (April) , DAD (Chad) , HANNAH (G 14), MEGHAN (G 8)

We love all disney characters, not picky!!

No food allergies

Welcome, welcome, welcome!!!
:)

Don't worry Aashley...I'm sure we'll all find a use for lots of Kleenex and band aids!

Oh good, I'm not the only newbie here =) I'm going to try to do little gifts and drop them off every other day. I stopped by the Disney store at the mall today to see if they have anything cute I can buy without breaking the budget, nope.
Oh well, I still have time to shop and make things. I got a couple great ideas from other posts and I'm compiling a list of possible presents. I'm so excited, only 2 months to go! =D

Is our thread closed now? Or is it officially closed at 11:59pm tonight? I have to make one more trip to the store and then I should be done.

Ashley - I don't think we could have enough bandaids and tissues! I know our family will need some, since we are giving it all away! And the men have a few extras in their bags. I was going to put in one of those Car-beens (spelling?), those cool metal clip/hooks, but couldn't find them. Oriental Trading had like 50 for 10 dollars, but we didn't need 50! :)

YOU ARE AWESOME! Thank you for posting this! Do you think gum counts as food?

O.K.! The deadline has officially been reached, so no more new cabins added to this fish extender.

I will add all the new people to the o.p. and do a breakdown of how many people in each category (i.e. 4 girls from 8-10 years old) to make it a little easier.

Do we want a schedule of what days to deliver, or should we just do it when we feel like it?

IMHO, I feel like it would be ok since there aren't too many cabins that we can deliver when we want, unless everyone else wants a schedule. I mean I'm sure we all have plenty of stuff planned out already and maybe the schedule would conflict? Anyway, I will do whatever everyone else wants, but I vote deliver at your own leisure :goodvibes

I agree to deliver when we want. A lot of my gifts are better if given at the beginning of the cruise.

I agree because some of my gifts are better spaced out although they'll probably be delivered late on excursion days.

I created a spreadsheet (and also have a PDF version) with all of the cabin and participating member information. This helps me with planning and gift distribution. If you would like a copy, please PM me. I will send it to you next week as I didn't bring an e-copy with me this weekend. We have

Cabins: 14
Adults: 27
Children: 22; 10 boys and 12 girls

rogattdm: I don't know about gum; I've not sent any food in the past so can't speak to this.

Malificent, I can't PM you because I don't have 10 posts yet, but I would like a copy of the spreadsheet please! Thanks!

Is anyone else going to try to get a port upgrade? I want to try and if it works, then how will I notify everyone of my room change? Can I leave a post-it note on the door of my old room? Maybe I'll have to deliver my gift the first night and write a note saying something along the lines of "my new room number is...". Hmm...

Hi everyone!

We just booked our cruise a week ago and we're over the moon!!:cool1:

Great minds think alike! I have been wondering about that - and thought about adding a tag to my gifts to let people know that we had moved. I highly doubt we will get an upgrade, but I would hate for the new people in our room to get all our great gifts! Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm o.k. with Aurorora joining the group, but then again, I'm totally behind on my gifts, and it wouldn't be hard for me to add one more. Please write in or p.m. me with your "yay" or "nay" and we'll let her know if she can join.
Thanks...see you all in a little over a month!!!

I'm also fine with it, :worried: although for me they will have to get something different than everyone else because, I cannot physically get anymore of my gift before the cruise, but I definitely would be willing to do something for them :)

I am good with it.

I'm Ok with Aurorora and her family joining but I can't provide the exact same gifts as I ordered them online and I don't know if there'll be enough time to reorder and make more. But I could certainly make sure I have gifts to give!
