Do you have a points credit card that you have that has helped you save/pay for a Disney trip?
I have a Delta AmEx and Chase Disney card. We used the free miles we got when we signed up for the card to fly to Orlando. Only had to pay for 1 flight instead of 3.Do you have a points credit card that you have that has helped you save/pay for a Disney trip?
It is, but since it's a U.S. card, it takes a fair bit of effort and time to get it, i.e., need to get yourself a U.S. domiciled bank account, a U.S. mailing address, an ITIN, and a start to your U.S. credit history. Americans are lucky with the number and quality of credit cards they have. But as a Canadian, if you are willing to put the time and effort to get a U.S. credit card, there are much better options than the Disney card. And don't forget, generally speaking, using U.S. credit cards in Canada is typically not as worthwhile as using U.S. credit cards in the U.S. You are better off with a high-earning Canadian credit card for your spend in Canada, and a no-forex fee Canadian credit card for your U.S. spend (unless of course you live a chunk of the year in the U.S., at which point U.S. credit cards become much more appealing in terms of rewards). Is that card available to Canadians?
That's what I did today. $303.00 grocery order ended up being $3, wiht $300 into my vacation fund. I find getting PC points easier since we take advantage of the shoppers bonuses, etc. And a lot more flexible to have that cash in hand to do what you want with. Fly out of USA, rent a condo, pay for your timeshare annual dues, buy tickets, etc.PC Mastercard if you shop at Loblaw/Shopper's Drug Mart/Esso. If you take advantage of all the opportunities to leverage points and double dip you can save thousands a year. Then when you redeem points for groceries, just put the dollars saved into your Disney account.
It takes just a little bit of discipline to remember to save. The best part IMO is that you are not tied to any one carrier/hotel/time period. Travel when and how you want with your savings and take advantage of the best savings offers you can find.

I always check what I can get at Shoppers first during the bonus points which I get at least every 2 weeks. I also shop for my brother in law so I get his basics like milk, eggs, bacon, cheese, cottage cheese from there because they are always on sale so that helps!I love my PC Card. Another bonus, while you don’t get the normal pc points when you buy a Disney gift card at shoppers (since gift cards are excluded) you do get the PC points from the MasterCard for the spend at shoppers.
So we get 3% back in PC points for any Disney gift cards we buy there.
I also find it easy to rack up the pc points with all the bonus offers at shoppers. When I get a 20x the points offer I will look at what’s on sale at shoppers and stock up, with the extra 3% from the PC Card it can add up to a lot of points fast. And the bonus redemption days just make it even better.
