Favorite Week in Sept/Oct?

Hi everyone! I'm excited to plan my next trip!

We have no time constraints, and are thinking about visiting in September or October this time around. What is your favorite time to visit WDW out of these 2 months? Would love some opinions, as it's tough to choose! It's me and my husband, both familiar with the parks. Never been to Food and Wine, but worried about the crowds it could create.

We enjoyed the first week of October in 2013. We were there Oct. 1-8th, and there were pretty light crowds up til about the 5th - it started increasing Fri/sat/Sun due to the rundisney TOT 10 miler sat. night.
It was nice to be there before the columbus day crowds, and still experience F&W and MNSSHP!

Rundisney isn't holding the tot 10 miler this year though, so I.would expect the crowds that weekend to stay a bit lighter.

The week after Labor Day was the most uncrowded time of year for us. We walked onto so many attractions, even Soarin.
